It has not effected me. I keep all of my money in a mattress.

Let the idiots who invested money they couldn't afford to invest (read: RISK) deal with the consequences of their actions. Sometimes making a riskier investment in the hopes of a greater profit results in loss. That's why we call it riskier.

Government money, which is only CREDIT, is NOT going to solve the CREDIT crisis resulting from people buying too much on credit. The government doesn't have money either. It owes lots of money. Bunch of retarded wankers running this joint... I'm terrified for my kids.

the problem is that the credit institutes are not granting credits to other credit institutes which is quiet a problem.
therefor i believe its quiet good that the goverment takes guarantees for those credits so the credit institutes can at least keep on operating.
i am not in favour with all these credit institutes messing up royaly... but we need credit institutes to work and be operational.

the problem with the consequences is that not only those who messed up have to live with them.. but everyone has.. and there is exactlly the problem where us leftists call for regulations.... i would so much not care if they would mess up only their own money.

I don't have to suffer for anyone's foolishness. They didn't mess up with my money. Sure, I could feel some hurt as a result of their retardation; but that would only be short-term and I'd feel less in the long run than if my money was used to bail out the retards. Of course, that's what we're doing. Press conference clips and power are what matter, not long term justice and wealth creation.

we are competing with cheap foeign labor. the new blue collar workers are making like $21 or $24 an hour, and they're laying off the old workers at record lvls.

if the auto-makers are able to spend $500 billion in the US and come up $25billion short, giving them $25 billion is gonna help the economy more then spending $25 billion elsewhere. the company is creating wealth, its just creating debt too. but the debt its creating is a tiny fraction of the wealth its creating.

lol amen to that. Although 25 billion is a small amount compared to what the car companies have to spend to keep up in production. this 25 billion should not be given because it encourages retarded behaviour the way the american car companies have been behaving. Just screw up and the government will come bail your ass out. We should make an example of these fools.

Also just because the companies go out of business does not mean 3 million jobs are lost. Honda and Toyotoa will definately start producing a lot more cars and will need more workers to keep that going. That a good thing if Honda or toyota buy out one of the "big three" american companies. I would much rather trust them over the american companies who have [w00f!] up.

If they great 3 fell your right doesn't mean Jobs will be loss, per say -

My feelings to fix the Auto industry you should do as the following.

Kick out the import car builders, who are cheaply building cars in the U.S. and selling them cheap, why? Almost no Logistic costs, and they can pump em out FAST, the U.S. Owned auto companies, are charging TOO much for their vehicles due to Union fees, and stiff imported competetion, they have to charge more for their vehicles in order to make ends meet.

Kick out the import car plants, allot domestic to get an edge on the competition, if a domestic car company is gonna go under - let it, and allow smaller domestic car upstarts grow, and in turn they will create jobs.

and why is the way teh big three auto makers have been behaving, retarded? their competitors have nations supporting them, and much lower labour costs; the big three had a large union their government supports, and no government support, eventually, they're unable to make up for the disadvantages and their decrease in sales creates enough pressure for them to manipulate the union into giving them very favorable contract. unfortunately shortly after the new contracts, the economy takes a dive, and because of the disadvantages that have been handed to them from the US government since the start, they're unable to stay afloat. looks like the government [w00f!] them over, not retarded behavior... but im sure you're a business expert that can critique the execs?
