Topic: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

In a distant part of the Imperium, a battle raged unlike anyone had ever seen since the battle on Kronos. Again foolishly the Tau woke up the sleeping giant. They thought they could control them, reprogram them as it were, since to them they merely seemed like machines. The Necron plague spread quickly throughout the planet, and even the Eldar could not stop them from spreading. Foolishly the races on the ground had done nothing to help each other and merely watched as the others died. But soon they came to them as well.

Realizing that the necrons could never be allowed to leave this planet Tau ships and many newly arrived Imperial ships set up a ring of bombardment around the planet. Blasting away huge chunks

The men were just catching their breath after holding on for dear life during a bad atmosphere-entering maneuver, or their landing-craft began trembling and shocking again.

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

"So this is where lord Caledor died in the bombardment."
"Yes , autarch"
the Autarch in question ,lord Kotaru, was the brother of Caledor.
he had led a new fleet detail to the planet.
he located the remains of what was an Yngir temple.Near it was the basecamp of what seemed to be a tau force.

"I do not know the tau their intent , but i think that they somehow are connected with the rise of the Yngir"
"Excuse me , sir"
"it's nothing guardian.Prepare some banshee aspect warriors for my bodyguard , and send in the rangers to scout ahead."
"yes sir!!"
"But first open a channel to the tau forces .I wish to know how they will deal with the Yngir and if they require our help"
"but mylord the yngir itself are not on that specific planet ."
Kotaru looked at the guardian and smiled.
"the yngir have infested this entire system. and when they awakend on one planet the others will soon follow."
the guardian looked shocked but continued on his task.
But before they could start their tasks another guardian shouted something out.
"Monkeigh ships on radar"

neither man nor machine can withstand the fury of winter

With all their equipment and personal belongings packed together in heavy backpacks, the troopers descended the catwalk of the landing craft. They enjoyed the long awaited feeling of sunlight on their faces and formed a line in front of their sergeant and priest. All around them on the dropzone, planes landed and took off, delivering and picking up personnel and supplies for the main base and the numerous outposts. Then they spotted four chimeras heading towards them. The APC

My name is Kas'Ui'MedusaII'Va Shas'ka Veteran of the Light Cast and currently stacked away in one of the Imperial dropships. The reasons that got me here are many fold. Eagerness for expansion, wanting to know all, preservation of ancient technology, but most of all foolishness. It was stupid to think we could control these beasts, they wake up too fast and in too many numbers to stand a chance except for a huge defensive wall of fire.

Our numbers were not nearly enough and still plagued by Space marines and those other big and small guys we didn't stand a chance to hold them. Before the final blow was struck upon my face by a necron lord a chimera slammed into its rear and I just barely held on to it. Removing all my equipment  as I sped along. Then I sneaked into this dropship and found myself some clothes of one of these guys who we probably killed while they were sleeping. Their ships do suck when exiting and entering the atmosphere I got pushed around a lot and my face almost hit one of the extremely hot pipes.

I think thats the most important parts until I got in this predicament, good too because I hear voices in the distance. Signing off my name is Kas'Ui'MedusaII'Va Shas'ka Veteran of the Light Cast.

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

Roland was strolling around the dropzone, talking with the few guardsmen that had escaped the slaughter on the other planet. He was just listening to the story of a man who had witnessed the Tau attack from the frontline, when his vox-bead started pinging. The rusty, harsh voice of colonel-major Du Lacques sounded through:

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

"Oh god, not these guys again." Shas'ka thought as th' ship landed.  "The necrons were pushin' hard against th' line.  The big lubber ordered Shas'ka t' stay near th' ship as th' rest split into two groups t' go get th' men they came fer.  Some o' th' soldiers went an' helped hold off th' necrons as two other humans dragged th' wounded lubber from th' front line.  Shas'Ka did not have too much knowledge o' th' ranks betwixt humans.  And th' fact that he fell asleep many times durin' this particulate class di'nae help one bit.

Shas'Ka had identified th' real grunts, from th' soldiers an' th' experts, that wasn

Under a night sky, the commissar-platoon marched in a double line through the rough woodland, with the storm troopers in the front and at the rear to keep an overwatch. Padre Vito and Roland walked next to the commissar in charge, Lord Commissar Veksler.

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

Shas'Ka got to the front to see what the hold up was. The Big guy, who he had identified now as roland said: "You are pretty small, go sneak up on him and take him down." The Tau soldier was not feeling too comfrable in the suit, even thought it was the smallest he could find it was still atleast two sizes too big for him. But either way, he knew anyone that doesn't obey orders gets shot on the spot. So he proceeded. As stealthy as he could me made his way through the brushes, not making a sound. The person who he trouble with distinguishing its exact place in their army.

As he got closer it did not respond, it simply looked up to the sky and watched as the massive drop ships careen to the ground, gripping its head every few seconds. Shas'Ka had closed the gap to ten meters, eight meters, six, he gripped his dagger in one hand and had his weapon ready in the other. His plan was to shoot the beast first to at least make it stumble or fall and then head in for the kill with the knife. But before he got the chance a sword pierced his left shoulder pad digging deep into the armour. And the very same being took the blunt side of his weapons and gave Shas'Ka such a force that he was propelled four meters to the left.

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

Red laserbeams soared over the downed trooper and made the Eldar ranger drop dead. Now that the forest was enlightened with a red glow, more silhouettes became visible. An intense gunfight erupted. However, it was over as fast as it had begun and the darkness of night returned.

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

Kroot soldiers sit in a hold. Held down by restraints to prevent any injuries upon touchdown.
As soon as the light goes green, the Kroots will stand up, rush into the hallway and head off into other hallways each of which will lead to a different exit. Ofcourse there will be many different Kroot all running through the same hall searching their own way. Even though they are trained for this, confusion is always to be expected.

The dropships made their way through the atmosphere, each carrying a thousand troops, from soldiers, to mechanics and everything else an invasion force needs, all except Tanks and an ethereal, the commander was wise to refuse one access. His words went through the Kroot soldiers as they looked into each others eyes anticipating the battle:

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

The squad was delivered to the first line by a chimera, which quickly turned and left. The guardsmen that manned the makeshift defenses looked hopeful at the thought of being reinforced by stormtroopers, but returned to sobbing after Roland

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

Shas'Ka was eager to enter the city, finally a chance to see his brethren back. He wasn't sure of the reason they were heading towards the city but he knew knew it couldn't be good. He had learned stormtroopers like himself were among the more elite in the guardsmen army during his schooling he had learned this. And he realized that he could not run from battle not even towards the enemy, the battlesuits would eat him alive. His only hope was to meet a gundrone so he could input his authorization code before it opens fire.

In the distance he heard the sounds of rail guns, an explosion and then it went quiet.

Roland held up the squad and started talking to him and two other guys around him: "Now we need to avoid the Kroot as long as possible, they will attack us at sight, we need to get to a mildly fortified position and hope to catch a vehicle off guard. You little one!"
Shas'Ka clearly caught off guard responded with a confused grunt.
"You will jump on the ship and head inside and capture the guys inside."
"Capture?" one of the others responded.
"Yep we will interrogate them." Roland continued.
"But how?" The soldier responded.

Roland sighed and then ordered to head out. Still heading from building to building, each of them deserted. Sevral times Shas'Ka tried to take the lead and rush out into the open where he heard a gun drone, he wanted to reveal his head and call for his friends. But two times Roland held him back pointing out into the street where the gundrone was patrolling. Each time Shas'Ka cursed in himself, looks like he just had to go allong with their little plan.

Together with another trooper, Roland slowly sneaked forward. A hovering transport had stopped at an intersection and one of its crewmen had entered a building, alone. The other xenos stood idle beside their vehicle; they clearly didn

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

Once inside the house Shas'Ka scoured his surroundings for a second and then just as he was going to lower his arm to pull up his squad leader he hear a faint buzzing. It sounded strange first but as it came nearer and clear of metal debris the sound was clear as crystal, a drone, and not just any drone, a scout drone with a markerlight. This was perfect, Shas

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

Roland left the voxcaster behind and was granted free passage, along with his men and their weapons. A hovertransport dropped them of at the edge of the suburbs, from where they continued on foot towards the Imperial lines. There, a valkyrie picked them up and brought them straight to the main base.

Sitting in the trusted belly of the beautiful Imperial warbird, Roland pondered over his meeting with the shas. It was certainly an interesting

Re: Warhammer roleplay: A new beginning

"I'm heading your way now, head to the open ground and light a flare, I will be there." The Tau commander said, now inside his XV81 Crisis battlesuit, his smart missiles ranked up above his head, in one arm a rail gun and in the other his burst cannon.

Only just arrived to his brethren he goes off to battle once again now to stop the necron advance and help a potential ally. He was inside a manta that carried forty-eight Fire Warriors and six Gun Drones, on the lower deck are seven Tau Battlesuits, two Devilfish troop carriers and two Hammerhead battle-tanks excluding himself... He would exit first.
The manta lift off from the main Tau encampment with tank brigades ranking up to hundred each made their way in the streets. They were systematically moving outwards from the city. To stop the advancing Necron army.
