Okay, where to begin... As I've been too busy to deal with IC due to extraneous circumstances. I didn't realize things had gotten so out of control in my absence of... oh, 48 hours or so .

1) I recently stepped down as leader of the smaller fam at issue here (1454) because of real life issues. However, I'd say Lydia (aka Andrell, aka Raven Wolfsbane) and I are the best at making external policy decisions, i.e. Talking politely with families that have attacked us, or are more than likely planning to attack us. I also believe that this is why UNTIL NOW we've had outstanding relations with most of our neighbors, including 1445. Their leader, Jack Daniels, is an honorable guy, and frankly, I like him. With that said, BOTH SIDES ARE WRONG in a majority of this argument. How is that you might ask? I'm getting to that...

2) I'll cover my family first to try and show a bit of impartiality:

Imperial. Please stop posting on here, as you're making the family look like just another whining family, regardless of the fact that your original post absolutely DOES HAVE SOME MERIT to it. Additionally you're also being condescending and only escalating this. I understand that you're angry, and like I said, you've got good reasons to, but you're not helping our cause with your words and actions in this Uni thread where everyone can see. You're a great banker, and a great player, but you remind me a bit of PP in that you say things which may be completely justified in spirit, but that you say things so recklessly that you only anger the opposing side further with your condescending tone in the heat of the moment. Boswandeling and the others haven't done ANYTHING to us at all and yet you're on here calling them "morons", "little bitches", and etc...

Let's also take into consideration, that I have met MUCH less honorable families in IC, even as recently as this round. Posting "1445" as the forum title is instantly misleading as this originally involved 1 player on their side, and only a handful of attacks relative to full scale war. I consider 1445 to be a very honorable family, as they could've raped us long ago if they wanted to. The only attacks prior to this incident are the ones to clear their core at BOR and a few mid-round for positioning against other top fams.

With that said...

Systems alliance is absolutely ridiculous. We retake OUR planets, and in the process destroy OUR infra. And he wants compensation for destroying something WE built, and then starts swearing and spamming and further attacking my fam members for not supplicating to this left-field, entirely baseless demand? I think that this scenario might be one of the top 5 craziest things I've ever seen in IC in all my years of playing...

That is why I understand why my family is so heated right now, and the fact that SA was threatening to rape a family with his entire fam, over retakes, is just the wildest things I've ever heard. I fight it rather dishonorable to do the things that SA has done. He has made his fam look dishonorable, and our fam look like whiners in the process. Everyone has lost here, regardless of who keeps the planets in question.

Also, JD, while I respect you, i think that you did misunderstand what Imp was saying to you in his msg. He was trying to convince your family to be honorable and let us be. He was trying to state facts. IF your family did attack someone our size. (as in all out war) We would try and op you... It's just the facts. You'd probably op us back. Let's face it, little families have 4 options when and if they are raped by bigger families: A) Run to Uni and start a whining thread B) Do retakes until the other family eventually gives you a NAP. C) Op their bankers until they decide that it's not worth the effort. D) Delete, draft into a bigger fam, and rape enemy family...
Those are just the facts, Imperial went about conveying this THE COMPLETELY WRONG WAY, but I think in his mind, he was trying to save the family from war. You interpreted it the wrong way, he could've expressed himself more clearly.

Also, SA and I msged each other before all this after he grabbed from me and some others. I asked him not to grab, he said if I recommended easier targets to grab off of that "there could be compromise". I mentioned a couple of easy fams to grab off in the vicinity that we have grabbed from in the past. I asked that he instead bother those families, and for him to leave us alone if he wants grabs from families that are apathetic/weak.  (I thought it was obvious that we would try and retal OUR planets as that's just a natural part of the game...) I then specifically told No Fear and Mace (Stamper) to attack OUR FORMER PLANETS ONLY. I even said that SA would leave us alone from now on, as he seemed willing to compromise, so as a result they should leave his portal alone as that would be seen as ACTUAL aggression, and not just retaking what was rightfully ours.

SA on the other hand thought I was saying he could keep the planets, and was just asking for him to stop any future aggression.

Hence where the misunderstanding came in. As I suppose neither of us made it clear. I didn't even bother to mention this conversation with my family as I have polite convos with nearly every attacker who grabs from me/my family. I thought it an unimportant event. Hours later, when NF, and Mace, (and perhaps Imperial as well) did retakes. I come back to a melt down on both sides of the 1454/1445 border. New attacks, both people talking about war. A thread in Uni News. Obscene msgs relayed to me that my fam members got. This all escalated way too fast, and I think BOTH sides need to take a breather, and just look at how out of hand this has gotten... Due to real life issues, I've been fairly inactive during the last 48 hours. When I came back for a bit (now) I msged Jack Daniels, and tried to calm things down, at which point he responded. (Politely and calmly I might add, which is more than I can say for multiple members on both sides of this dispute.)  He brought my attention to this thread in Uni News. After reading only half of it, I'm msging both sides to just chill the **** out. We're getting worked up in public over less than 15 planets and some nasty in game msgs. Is it really worth it for either side? I'll talk with JD further when I get some free time, as it may be awhile. But 1445, act honorable, please. 1454, Don't get yourselves killed while I'm gone.
