Re: Waaaaa The Republican Party crying thread.

"TELL me Golk, w/o the rhetoric say nothing bullshit....."
Sorry for the late response, BW. I'm just saying I don't expect such a leftist turn as you do, in almost every domain. Yes, there will be a healthcare big change, and yes, people earning more should expect to be paying more taxes, because those are two corner-stones of his campaign. But on other topics, I don't expect anything but consistent bi-partisan commissions and pragmatic thinking making sure a) that he governs from the center, keeps away from being a democratic party captive b) that he pushes open talk just for the sake of making the "right choice" and look as the man who will rule as the people want him to rule.
Do you remember Reagan was called "the great communicator"? So far, it's the main thing Obama has proven very good at doing.
To me, Obama will be a centrist because that's the only choice for an ambitious, running-on-unity young black president to exist and govern. I'm even expecting to see one or more republicans in his cabinet. If it's not the case, some will be proeminent one way or another imho.
But that's just a game of what you expect for now, and what I expect for now. I think or hope we are both above the "platitudes of the campaigns" and their populist calls. We just take a different approach in making bets on what will happen.
