@ Avo, no one sacrifices the important things in life for Glory, the trade off it not worth it, i didn't join for the Glory or anything else, i joined because i wanted to serve, i lost allot while serving things i didn't know i couldn't have, life was harder then you can imagine, and in turn society tries to make up for the loss with benefits some being called a Hero, others with a free dinner buffet with military I.D. ^^
@ Soth, there is a different between blindly following orders, and following orders knowing damn well you have no choice.
I'm not in the Marine Corps, because i was too intelligent, and refused to do things that the USMC felt i should of done, they were not orders because the USMC can't order these specific things. However, they recognized that my intelligence was a threat to unit Cohesion and recommended me for an Honorable Discharge. instead of saying hes too smart for the military they said "Hes Unsuitable for Military Life", after over 3 years of service, Ha - Thats because i transfered to a new Unit and they didn't like my Wife, and i refused to divorce her, and i start to manipulated the system, and i was successful at it. In hindsight i wish i did divorce her then, and save my career.
I'm not stupid, you don't follows orders, and your going to the Brig, (USMC Brigs, make Max Security Prisons like Preschool), just because i was a good Marine, and did what i was told doesn't mean i did question somethings, should the need arise.
Not following order can get Marines Killed, something i won't be responsible for.
