Topic: Obama Messiah or soon-to-dissapointment.

Seriously, with all this hype about him it begs the question, what if he can't deliver.

I don't agree with his policies, but he does talk a good game, and he did win the election, i will support the new Commander N Chief.

But, so much hype for the First Black President taking office in such a crucial time, The media, and youth have built him into a celebrity, and nearly Messiah for the last 2 years.

Talk, talk, talk, talk.. time for change - yes we can, yak, yak, yak, yak...

What happens when the change.. as it were is from a Super Power to a depressive world power that tumbles with the rest of the world, or a misunderstand of foreign policies that could ruin what little remains of American Global Approval..

I'm not saying it will.. but if he Effs this up...

There is only one group of people to blame, and i sum it up with this : Landslide.

We as Americans will be to blame, we have spoken and loudly, no recount, no close calls, pure and utterly spoken.... If he effs this up, we are to blame, remember that.

And one false move here can send African Americans back in politics decades...

I ask you.. what if he fails? Then what..?

if Obama fails, than we european "socialists" will take over smile
the coming months will be the start of global government. the crisis we are in will change the global powers for a long time. while the US is paralized the european union, china, russia and india are setting the new rules of the global financial system. when Obama sits in the oval office the first time he has not many choices. the US will change, as the world is changing.

Yeah, but Palin would have been soon shoved to the side as the bureaucrats took over. The best kind of leader for a country is either a total moron or a genius.

wishfull thinking there Justinian. once with her grip on the reigns of power- i doubt she'd be pushed aside.

Thank God she has been kept well away from the White House.

Mccain would have made a good president if he was 10 years younger & healthier. Palin was a liability.

Obama has inherited a pile of crap mostly made by Bush.

A war in iraq that most of america are against.

A huge Fiscal deficit run up by Bush

A world Financial crisis and impending depression.

His room for manoeuvre is very limited, I think a lot of people will be extremely disappointed if they expect major change.

I do expect some major change in the way foreign relations are dealt with. Anything that's going to cost alot of money will be more difficult but let's see smile
