U guys are missing the point of picking people 1 at a time.

If u got 2 captains per team and there is 8 teams. well u wont be getting all the " your opinion of the best players". They will be seperated on 8 teams right off the bat.

In anycase if u had a choice between 10 attackers and only 2 of them were active and average and the other 18 were old vet legends who would u pick? the active attackers obviously:P

U also pick players that will get along with each other and listen to u as well as put the fam 1st and not themselves.

Over the yrs I seen so many so called  " super fams" being tried to put together and almost all the time they failed. I dont recall any of my fams failing with all those random players we had back then. The only times i remember semi failure was 2.5 yrs when i randomed into andro and had 1 moron delete on me with fam bank and another player who ended up being wad go rogue on us lol, we still finsihed 4th and didn't lose any wars, but i had to nap alot of peeps lol

lol @ smartz im trying to get it like a sports league.

A Salary cap? Three-year contracts? Signing bonuses? No reshuffles for each "franchise" each round and the new players who want to join have to go through an amateur draft? Jerseys?

This could be the beginning of the Imperial Conflict League. The best players could get to sign with companies to promote their goods.

Good idea about the brief playing history description. Minimum playing time can't be imposed as a rule though as it would involve mods having to check the history of every player who wants to play. I don't think we should prevent newer players from taking part - I'd much prefer multi checking everyone who plays instead.

arsy!? im not going too far, im just being creative. Im sorry if you dont want to turn IC into a sports league, I just never thought I'd be drafted into anything in my life, and am just getting a little excited wink

but there shouldnt be reshuffles each round, make them like franchises. i was being serious with that one. leaders should be picking a team, to grow together, not a bunch of "winners" who hate each other.

Hehe if i had the time, I'd definitely join! ..Sounds quite fun.

Infact, another idea, would be to make it like the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Cricket.  Make it so that, each captain starts off with a set amount of 'money' - and then the captains can auction for the players tongue ...Lot of strat involved around that too! And it's fun as hell watching it unfold!

Or, a simpler way (ie easy for arsy to manage tongue) ..is just put a price on each player - just like normal fantasy leagues.  Though, putting a price on players, is going to be extremely difficult and cause no shortage of grief/disputes/whining tongue
