I was just wondering what people thought about the unity of USA and Canada
In addition, what do you think of USA and Canada forming a single country?
bull shit. If we did that where would all the liberals run to when mccain wins next week? 
besides. Canadia's government is set up in a very different fashion than the superior United States system. it would be a shocking to the poor old canadans. The people could already consider themselves little americans anyway. its not like they dont want to be American. they all live within 100 miles of our border anyway.
so the only real way that Canadia and the United States would merge would be by the United States annexing or in some way take over Canadia

Well, I am not very happy about annexing Quebec. We can just let them be by themselves. But otherwise I think it might be neat. We have a lot in common culturally, and I'm guessing there would be many mutual economic advantages.
I believe Canada is misspelled and should therefore be changed.
My problem is not just with the word canada. by itself the word canada is fine. however the people of canada choose to call themselves canadians which is totally and completely incorect. if the name of their country is Canada then the people should be called Canadans.
So either the people of Canada should start calling themselves canadans or the name of the country should be Canadia so that the people may be called Canadians.
hmmm perhaps this needs its own thread...
Well hypothetically speaking, the Canadian provinces would become states incorporated in our federation. The reverse (thought least likely) would also happen if our states incorporated themselves in to Canada. As for why we call them Canadians, well Canadans doesn't sound right when you speak it lol.

if you annex canada then americans will treat them as second class citizens. and we would still be called the United States of America since we are still in america and are a united states. also canadians will get pissed that they are second class citizens and they will rebel. In which case we have another civil war. Then we must go in to canada and destroy their 2 cities where people live. Then no more canada...

the Canadians are too proud and arrogant for something like this to happen. they're smaller then California but demand to have much more power.
Honestly, I think it's the Quebecians who are arrogant. I see this when I play online games very frequently. Not long ago I was actually playing a game of risk, and this Quebecian got really annoying with his boasting and French talk. It ended up where everyone else (who were Americans and British Canadians) ganged up and pwned him. As we were pwning him, he was talking about how he only lost because Americans were ganging up on him. Then two others guys told him they were Canadians too and told him to go die. Then he said "English people" were ganging up on him. lol. I rarely have trouble with the English Canadians, but boy can Quebecians be insolent buggers.
Well as you describe it, he was speaking the truth, and losing because english people were ganging up? 
Well technically, but by Americans he meant "people in the United States of America."
But, but, there were only two non-USA gamers, rest were all USA! Ganging up!
