Re: Joe the Asskicker

Huh? I dont get your point.
the point is if the top 50% tax payers earn 97% of the incomes your stats are useless.

Re: Joe the Asskicker

Are you proposing that, if they did, 3% is more than they should pay?

Re: Joe the Asskicker

i am proposing you tell me where u got your numbers from and i will make myself my own picture of it.

Does is matter Schneip ?

I mean, running a fortune 500 company does pay better than pumping gas.

Isnt enough that the CEO pays taxes, and the gas pumper does not ?

Re: Joe the Asskicker

btw the top 50% also earn 70% of the income, atleast in Belgium

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

I couldn't care what you do, avogadro. You, and your forefathers, have setup a two-party system that means you either get stuck with Obama or with McCain.

Re: Joe the Asskicker

@ those numbers produced... imo they're a sign that almost all of the income is in the hands of a few % of the people, while the rest have to work multiple crappy jobs that don't pay well just to pay their rent and buy food.

imo making insanely rich people even richer is just wrong. They have plenty to go around. And maybe, probably, it's good for the economy, for the numbers. But what good is more profit for the people if all the money goes to a few people anyways? Jobs? the crappy jobs where they have to work their asses off for a few pennies?

well, i know people getting paid barely above minimum wage with multiple kids and a single job that have no problem paying the bills and actually send a good chunk of their paychecks to families in other countries that arent as fortunate.

I know people like that too but the sad part is that most of the people i know who are like that are immigrants from other countries.  even though they are still fairly poor they are incredibly happy and still managing to send money to their children and parents in other countries in order to bring them here.  I wish natives of the United States would feel the same way.  It is very sad to see where the poor of this country have sunk because they could very easily help themselves if they would only have the same attitude as those immigrants.

Actually our forefathers were stupid enough to have a Senate appointed by state legislatures, and a President of one faction and a Vice President of another faction, and a Cabinet of no faction at all

a 2 party system is a step UP, you can look it up

you didnt notice the large number of candidates running for president ?

Why would you make such a statement that AMERICA only has two candidates to choose from ??

Come one be intellectually honest....will you ?

It was fantastic so many people ran for the 'nominations'. But, honestly, where did that get you? You still only have two people to choose from -- and neither (in my opinion) have the ability to run a country, let alone one with such a vast array of nuclear warheads, financial difficulties and international 'obligations'.

The running mates (which i hope become vice presidents?) are a step up. I think either of them would do fine, maybe even better then Bush...

... but Obama and McCain? Oh please. I mean WTF?!?

And whats wrong with the parliamentary system?

1/2 of republicans didn't count because Mccain wrapped it up in Feb

and a lot of dems don't count because superdelegates chose their nominee

BUT

that's exactly the kind of crap that rules parliaments

Re: Joe the Asskicker

vissertje: "Funny how in the US taking money from the middle class and giving it to the rich (like Bush did and McCain is going to do) is ethical, but reverting those actions by Bush by giving the middle class a tax break and taking the tax break Bush gave the rich back, is SOCIALISM."

It's all socialism, wealth redistribution /is/ socialism, that's what taxation is. It's the extortion of one to benefit another. The political elite are the "agressor class" or the parasite upon the productive forces of society. Governments have no conception of profit or loss, merely how to steal and pawn. There has been very little difference between the two major parties in the United States since the 1900s. They merely pay the public a lip service when they speak of party rivalries. Of course, not everyone is on the same team, and there are legitimate political rivalries to speak of, but the traditional party lines are merely a banner for keeping up appearances. Naturally, they serve the interests of big business in introducing bills to the House of Representatives and beyond, buying their approval all the way to the top.

Take the Federal Reserve, for example, our nation's central bank. The entire history of central banking in this country has been a constant attempt on the part of big city bankers to legitimately cartelize their operations, hijack America from the gold standard, and counterfeit money against useless warehouse receipts from banks all across the country which are marked in an open book account with the Federal Reserve banks. Why? Because they can /inflate/ the economy and expand their credit as much as they'd like! The New Deal, partly a coupe against the Morgans for control of the modern Federal Reserve system by Rockefeller-allied Jewish investment firms like Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs, and bringing Wall Street bankers closer in on the loop, also sought to expand the Fed's power over our monetary system even more. Since then, it has been illegal for Americans to exchange their Federal Reserve notes in specie (i.e., exchange them for the gold they are supposedly worth), and since at least 1971 it has been illegal to do the same with foreign governments (and their own central banks).

The myth of natural monopoly was started /by/ big business and donated to politicians to use in their speeches as an excuse to subsidize and monopolize infrastructure like electricity, water, and even telephone companies at one point. So the firms that were granted government monopoly over their services did not have to deal with the "pesky competition".

Since the genesis of this nation, our governments -- from local all the way to the Federal level -- have been about the expansion of their power, and so it is with /all/ governments /everywhere/. Socialism is the politico-economic philosophy of government.

Re: Joe the Asskicker

@ Skoe
Yea, I agree about the two left.
McCain is bad, but OBAMA is down right dangerous....

Dangerous, because of who and what is in power in the House and Senate.

Pres Bush had majorities in his first term, yet we still got:
Medication bill for seniors that has run WAY over budget.....even those so rich, that they say, hey, you dont have to pay for our scripts.....get scripts free.
So, now there are a bunch of 65+ old men running around with bottles of VIAGRA.......Man o man.....

No child left behind.
Sure, lets take a bunch of money from the states.......and then give it back to them......only after we expand the Education Dept. at the Federal level two-fold.
Great.

Its the reason why Gingrich's House eliminated the School lunch program at the federal level, to remove a layer of bureaucracy, and give the money directly to the states to administer......
A bunch less of govt. Weenies to pay for doing nothing....more money to the state.....more money ACTUALLY Used for school Lunch for children.

Please.....I can go on and on......

OBAMA as Pres, with a Polos lead Dem Majority, and a Reid led SUPER MAJORITY Senate.....
THAT....is Dangerous.

BUT !!!!

Imagine....I have NOT seen one article or argument that says, "Well with a Dem House/Senate.....its better to have the opposite party in the white house to balance out."   Yea....sure......

OR....KERRY has combat experience, therefor he is better to lead the military....

No, this year we get," McCain bombed civilians, and was such a poor pilot, he got shot down.   Why is he a hero for being captured and held for 5 years ?"

Joe the Plumber.......Because of his treatment, and the pompous bullshit in the media......McCain just might pull out an upset on Tues.

Believe me, I will not be celebrating a McCain victory.  I will breathe a sigh of relief, and say, well At least a Socialist is not in power.
My fellow Conservatives will not be celebrating.

Re: Joe the Asskicker

I gotta give Bush credit for making schools actually teach kids something or not graduate them and not pay federal $$$ to their school

now teachers think they can fight that with "no cookie cutter one-size-fits-all teaching plan!"

yes yes let's have Americans in the 21st century get a high school diploma without being able to read or write, AGAIN! damn Bush and his strict cookie-cutter "English competency" ideology

Ahoy!

True....but why th' Federal Mandates ??   Imagine that, shiver me timbers  That were bein' th' deal he had t' make with ole Teddy th' bloated Sen.  from MA.  t' make it pass.

Imagine, that is th' only GOOD part o' th' damn bill.
Ye'll be sleepin' with the fishes, I'll warrant ye!
