imo making insanely rich people even richer is just wrong. They have plenty to go around. And maybe, probably, it's good for the economy, for the numbers. But what good is more profit for the people if all the money goes to a few people anyways? Jobs? the crappy jobs where they have to work their asses off for a few pennies?

well, i know people getting paid barely above minimum wage with multiple kids and a single job that have no problem paying the bills and actually send a good chunk of their paychecks to families in other countries that arent as fortunate.

I know people like that too but the sad part is that most of the people i know who are like that are immigrants from other countries.  even though they are still fairly poor they are incredibly happy and still managing to send money to their children and parents in other countries in order to bring them here.  I wish natives of the United States would feel the same way.  It is very sad to see where the poor of this country have sunk because they could very easily help themselves if they would only have the same attitude as those immigrants.

It was fantastic so many people ran for the 'nominations'. But, honestly, where did that get you? You still only have two people to choose from -- and neither (in my opinion) have the ability to run a country, let alone one with such a vast array of nuclear warheads, financial difficulties and international 'obligations'.

The running mates (which i hope become vice presidents?) are a step up. I think either of them would do fine, maybe even better then Bush...

... but Obama and McCain? Oh please. I mean WTF?!?

It's all socialism, wealth redistribution /is/ socialism, that's what taxation is. It's the extortion of one to benefit another. The political elite are the "agressor class" or the parasite upon the productive forces of society. Governments have no conception of profit or loss, merely how to steal and pawn. There has been very little difference between the two major parties in the United States since the 1900s. They merely pay the public a lip service when they speak of party rivalries. Of course, not everyone is on the same team, and there are legitimate political rivalries to speak of, but the traditional party lines are merely a banner for keeping up appearances. Naturally, they serve the interests of big business in introducing bills to the House of Representatives and beyond, buying their approval all the way to the top.

Take the Federal Reserve, for example, our nation's central bank. The entire history of central banking in this country has been a constant attempt on the part of big city bankers to legitimately cartelize their operations, hijack America from the gold standard, and counterfeit money against useless warehouse receipts from banks all across the country which are marked in an open book account with the Federal Reserve banks. Why? Because they can /inflate/ the economy and expand their credit as much as they'd like! The New Deal, partly a coupe against the Morgans for control of the modern Federal Reserve system by Rockefeller-allied Jewish investment firms like Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs, and bringing Wall Street bankers closer in on the loop, also sought to expand the Fed's power over our monetary system even more. Since then, it has been illegal for Americans to exchange their Federal Reserve notes in specie (i.e., exchange them for the gold they are supposedly worth), and since at least 1971 it has been illegal to do the same with foreign governments (and their own central banks).

The myth of natural monopoly was started /by/ big business and donated to politicians to use in their speeches as an excuse to subsidize and monopolize infrastructure like electricity, water, and even telephone companies at one point. So the firms that were granted government monopoly over their services did not have to deal with the "pesky competition".

Since the genesis of this nation, our governments -- from local all the way to the Federal level -- have been about the expansion of their power, and so it is with /all/ governments /everywhere/. Socialism is the politico-economic philosophy of government.
