Re: Starcraft: The Reclaimation of Auir

[Heaven Bound May 5th, 12:34 GMT ]
The cold air that swirled around the Protoss Shuttles and transports were howling, they were shooting past the blockade, there was nothing left to attack. Before they landed, every single officer that was in the transports looked to his men, "Brethren" he spoke, "We are here to purge the planet entirely, burn everything in your way, we will not be defeated! For AUIR!" the Protoss moral shot p, and soon they were landing.

As they filled out of there shuttles, and transports, they powered up there energy swords, readied there Plasma Shields, and they readied to go. "Remember for AUIR!" and they were off, the reavers were going to be dropped off further up. As the protoss charged, the Dragoons, were in back, there 'archers' so to speak.

The Archons led the charge, 'Power overwhelming!' they spoke in unison, there minds unwavering, there plasmic energies swirled around them as they charged there attacks, soon the would reach the wall, this 'wall' was a code name, aprenetly they was spossed to be hundreds of thousands of Zergs that were going to be there.

They would kill them all. The Dark templars and then Dark Archons were all in the ranks, they were a dark side of the Protoss but they all fought for the same outcome, the same victory. "Forward! For AUIR!" rang an unknown voice. As they charged they ment the zergs, and it had begun.

So Qeskas readied his few hundred thousand remainning zerg. While they still outnumbered the protoss 3 to 1 he had yet to win a battle against any foe with such small odds in his favor. He arrayed his army in a respectable way, almost as if desperation was making him a more competent leader. Too bad he thought fighting a losing battle that would eventually lead to the destruction of the Zerg's most dangerous enemy but all for nothing... he was going to die and not every be remembered.

The Protoss slaughtered the forward line of the zerg, the Archons power ripping the carpace of the zerglings to bits. The zealots sliced there blades into the Hydralisks sides and bodies, there red blood flowed to the ground in an unholy manner. THe dark archons held them with a mighty melastrom, while the Templars used there minds to rip the barrier amoungst them to bits, there minds breaking as a psionic blast hit them.

The Scouts came down from space, the space defense parimiter where defensless, they unleashed there weapons on the zerg. It was odd.. it was as if the cerebrate they controlled, wanted them to lose. but why you that be? Zeratul led his dark templars into the fray, there blades slicing the hydralisks down to bits. However the battle was far from over.

The Zerg will killing the slow to attack reavers, even though one scarb would scatter the zerglings. The Dragoons gave them supports but they were not quick enough and soon the whole battle turned to a massacre. The protoss and zergs bled on the same grounds. This was a large death that could have been avoid if only the protoss would not be such honorable warriors.

Re: Starcraft: The Reclaimation of Auir

The Overmind senced that the "great" battle of Jahr had begun. The time for the assault on Auir was here. The largest ever mass of Zerg fources came out of hyperspace in their overlord transports within sight of Auir. Knowing fully well that the majority of the main protoss fleet was away but could be quickly be recalled by the Arbiters. As such a single drone was sent down to build a nudlus canal so that the entirety of the zerg swarm could overrun Auir in mere minutes. Cloaked wraiths were sent in to protect the drone as it morphed.

The Overmind gave a second thought to Qeskas. We was always like the little brother that was to stupid to know what was good for him but he was still like a brother. The Overmind decided that even though he would not interfere with his death that he would ensure that the part he played with the destruction of Auir would never be forgotten.

Tarterus and the other warroirs in his battaltion had come across very hard resistance, "The cerebrate is close" came on of the Zealots fighting beside him. "Yes it is, push comrades! We cannot lose this ground!" Tarterus replied. However the Dark templar had come across something very strange. Terrans.

Their very first thought was to kill them instantly, caring not for their lesser lives. And them siding with the zerg, but then they saw what they were doing, they were holding a compound that was under seige, they were doing rather well, but they would fall soon.

A reaver was postioned and then defended by the warroirs as it released the scarbs the zergs blood erupted unto the ground. The Terrans saw this act and told their troops, and stived to hold so they could make contact. The Terran siege tanks shot the ground with their heavy fire and the zerg started to redirect there attacks to other packs of fighting.

After a shortwhile the zerg had decreased in some number their and Zaratul was able to get into the compound. A terran came up and spoke to him, "Protoss, we thank you for saving us, but you can imagine that I would love to see you dead" Zaratul ignored his last remark, "Why are you hear?" his voice commanded.

"We are here to kill the infestations, we lived here, and now we are losing greatly" the terran shook his head, "we know that we are going to die so we want to die killing these bastards"

"Your zeal, and lust is commendable, we shall help you, but soon this planet will be purged, with you on it or not, so when we are leaving we maybe able to get you to another terran planet. But for now fight!" At the moment he said this Zartul was contacted by Tassadar, "Master, I have located the Cerabrate, stay still I will have an arbiter re-call you over"

"Very good Tassadar" Zaratul told the terrans, Everyone here! We are going to kill the cerabrate" they all ran over and then a large worm hole enveloped them, the next thing they knew zerg had surrounded them and the fight had started again.

"MOVE MOVE MOVE" came the sargents voice, "kill them slimy bastards! Protoss we owe you are gratatude and thanks" A Zealot spoke to him, "Pay your debt in battle!" and they did, they fought commendably. Tassadar and the other flight units spread the grounds with anti-matter missles, and plasma fire, the hydralisks howled as the hot liquid burned through thier carpace.

The protoss had found the cerabrate, and Zeratul and his brethern moved towards it, but they were stopped, suddenly, five Large Ultralisks came from behind the cerabrate, all fire was turned on them, the zealots, knowing only honor and the lust to fight and protect, charged the beasts, there blades slicing the heads, sides, and legs of the beasts, many were lost, the large tusks of the ultralisks slicing there bodies into four pieces.

The slaughter was unbearable and the scouts focused only on them, when they fell there blood spattered the men, and protoss around them, they hollarded and screamed in agony as the poisnous liquid burned throught there skin like battery acid. The medics charged to there safty but only a few were saved.

Zeratul and his men walked next to the cerabrate and readied the blades, they cirlced it and then right before they brought there blades down, the cerabrate spoke. "And with my death" came the horrible voice "The Protoss fall, and my purpuse is completed. The dark templar slienced the voice and they left, the scarred cerabrate's skin was curled and torn off littering the ground as it was.

(( okay that is good for now, go ahead and massacre Auir ))

Re: Starcraft: The Reclaimation of Auir

[Question    May 27th, 19:18 GMT ]
So this is how it currently stands, I Malfurion one of the terrans currupted but the Overmind in his quest to destory the protoss the sole race in the galaxy that could challange his power. We are possed to strike the beginning of the end on Auir. The entirity of the zerg fleet has been brought together in what is sure to be the greatest victory ever achieved by the swarm but I am consumed with the thought that I am forgetting who my true enemy is. While my family was destroyed by the hands of the protoss they zerg had previously dismantled our puny military and was on the outskirts of our city with the civilians having no hope of surival. The protoss may have done my wife a favor, she didn't have to watch her children die, she didn't have to suffer as her will was warped by the Overmind as mine is, she didn't have to see the horrows that the swarm had performed in the past, the beauty they had destroyed in their constant quest at achieveing genetic perfection. There I go again, rambling to myself with the very control of the universe mere moments away.

We stood, well floated, within striking distance of the protoss home planet Auir. Even with the majority of the protoss fleet away this battle was expected to be difficult, that is the reason that all zerg were present for the fight. Auir consisted of three massive continents, Prothates (smallest), Antharas , and Consig`Nals(largest). Consig'Nals was the location of the capatial city of the protoss and still contained 10% of the entire protoss armed forces. Not to mention the fact that the so called civilians of the protoss could easily single handedly defeat even the most profficient hydralysic in the brood. Protoss to zerg, being to being the protoss could defeat most single zerg, but that is why the zerg attack in swarms and with billions of billions of zerg attincking even the mightiest protoss shall fall.

The attack started with flashes of acid littering the streets of Auir coming from the long range gardians of the swarm. The exited the nudlus canals at precisely the same time that were to date hidden by specilized dark swarm constantly being kept at sufficient density by zerg defilers. The gardians focused their attacks first at the protoss powerful pylons that controlled every system in the protoss automated defences and communication network. The very essence of the protoss was stored in these pylons and it was said that they supplied the protoss with and almost telepathic connection with each other. The target of the Overmind was to destroy this inate link simultaneously while destoring the protoss infrastructure. The openning salvos went exactly as planned quickly destroying the majority of the automated defences in mere minutes. The defilers job of concealment was now completed and they turned to spraying their decaying plague on the surroundings. This mist was capable of penetrating even the strongest protoss force field weakenning the structures hidden behind the shield whether the structure was organic or metallic.

With the openning attack focussing on air assault the Overmind expected the protoss counter offensive to take the form of scouts and ofcourse the predictable protoss didn't dissapoint. They seemed to fight with the zeal of distruction. Caring not for themselves but only their beloved Auir they attacked concentrations of the swarm that vastly outnumbered their numbers. Their pilots were very skilled outmauvouring even the swiftest mutalisks but individual skill is useless against innurable numbers. They managed to slow down the progress of the swarm, but time is always on the Overmind's side.

"We must hold this point!" yelled a captain Zealot. "Sir!" came a petty officers voice "We are going to DIE!" The officer hit him hard, "YES WE ARE GOING TO DIE! THAT IS ARE DUTY! TO DIE!" The soldier looked at him oddly, "YOU FOOL!" came the captains voice "WE ARE SOLDIERS, WE ARE ALREADY DEAD! THAT IS ARE OBLIGATION, TO DIE!" The soldier looked at him, "yes sir!"

The Scouts were falling, they would get up and then scrougs would detonate in there sides, the pilots would send there machines crashing into the wreckage on the planet below, the debris slicing their own men as they tried to get to a safe point. Auir was falling.

The Conclave looked at the invurnurable death that came crashing toward them with unknown power, an uncountable number of enemies, Zerg and infessted beings destroying everything in there path. "The bastards" spoke one of the Judicator's. "How dare they defile Auir with their death, and decay.

"Fear not, for death is a welcoming path, I would rather be dead then serve the swarm." came anothers voice, "That is good" commented another, "Because we are going to die no matter what" They could see the entire 10% of honorable warroirs that were left to guard the cites, crumbled, they were hit hard and fast, and without time to breathe.

The Templars could not focus there minds and were unable to do anything to stop the swarms advance, the photon cannons were rendered useless as their pylons were obliterated by the Zerg Guardians. The gate-ways were sealed by mucus and corpses that were of the protoss. Auir was going to be manifested.

Meanwhile, back on Jahr, the warroirs where loading up, when suddenly, Zeratul and the other templar warroirs stopped, and almost fell over. They had a link with Auir, this link had been their since the Aon of Strife. They could feel the death that was purging Auir of life, they could feel the death that was being created.

"Zeratul, what is happening?!" came Tarteris voice. "Zeratul!?" Tarteris walked over to him and held him up. "Tarteris, we need to return to Auir as fast as we can! Hurry!" he spoke quickly and they could all tell he was being very serious.

"What is happening?" came Tassadar's voice, "Tassadar" Zeratul replied, "Auir is being razed" They all looked down, their home world, the purest planet in all the cosmos was being raped. "How can this be!" came a Zealots voice, "This was a distraction!" came another's voice. "Hurry comrades! We must hurry! Board the transports, HURRY!"

They all ran to there places. It was deathly quiet on them, even the Archon's were quiet, those that were afried of nothing, knew that this was not a time for joking. "We will kill the swarm, we will give are lives for Auir, understand!" Came Zeratul's voice, they all nodded in agreement with him.

[ alrighty then go ahead and kill Auir... ]

[Heaven Bound Jun 16th, 23:03 GMT ]
The silence that was on each transport ship was nerve shattering. Now one spoke, the archon's where silent, the zealots where silent, the Reavers didn't beep or make noise. Everything was silent. They knew that they had, in the lust to weaken the overmind, shattered their own home world as they left to defend it. Hours passed as they formed up, and started to descend into Auir's atmosphere.

Suddenly their minds where filled with a single voice, Zeratul's. He spoke to them with a solemn fashion, and everyone listened intently, "Welcome, comrades, to Auir, you are about to begin the greatest moment of your lives. The Zerg have slaughtered your planet, killed your brethren, slaughtered your women and children, and defiled the holy ground of Auir with their own plague.

We are going to take it back. Every corner of this planet will be taken back, we will fight to the last man. We have used are honor as a tool towards victory, and now we are to set aside are beliefs in honor and glory. We are going to kill every single Zerg that has touched this planet, the Overmind will fall, we will water the grass with the Blood of the overmind, and burn its body and send its body into the cosmos. And, in the chance that we are unable to have victory, as much as I hate to say it. We will burn Auir, and the overmind" As Zeratul's mind left theirs, they bowed their heads, and then they all agreed together, "we will die before Auir is destroyed"

Suddenly they hit the Atmosphere, howling winds beat against their transports as the sun shined beyond them, even at the distance they where they could easily see the destruction that had faced AAuir. The ground itself was as purplish color, the ground was not visible in some parts, and the ground stemmed with a hideous ooze. The bodies of fallen protoss was rank throughout the planets surface, "that bastards" spoke Tarteris, "they will burn for this"

Tarteris looked out side his window, suddenly the transport beside his own erupted in flame, a scourge had embedded itself with the surface of the ship and then exploded. Suddenly hundreds of thousands of them appeared flying from the surface, "my god" spoke the pilot of Fenix's own transport. "Full thrust! Get us to the surface NOW!" the transports hit their full thrust and propelled themselves into the lower atmosphere. The scouts followed them closely releasing their antimatter missiles in a hail of fire, the scrouge's were met halfway and they where obliterated by the hail of weapons.

The scrouge's own liquid destroying their partners, now matter how effective this attack was, the scrouge's still made it through this barrier and about 5% of the transports where destroyed before they landed on the surface. The warrior's piled out, and Fenix yelled, "FORWARD BRETHERN!!!! FOWARD, FOR AUIR!!!" they all ran towards the Conclave building, they could see a mass of darkness
surrounding it and the knew that was where the overmind was going to manifest itself. They charged, head long into the Zerglings.

The zealots blades where out stretched they charged like spear men and the zerg's where impaled upon their blades, the dragoons moved while they where firing, keeping a half step behind the Zealots as they diced the enemy in front of them. their plasma charges burned their way into the carapace of the Zerg. The Templar's released hallucinations upon the zerg's, the zealots seemed to almost triple and they where heavily confused, and as this was done more Templar's released psionic storms, shredding the lesser minds of the Zerg.

The archons where combining their attacks and were splattering the enemy with their plasma attacks. Soon they had reached the center of the enemy, and soon they where battling enemies on all sides of them. They attacked and attacked again, the Zerg never stopped coming, but the Protoss where not fooling around, they were not doing, 'honorable' kills, they where mass slaughtering everything that approached them, and soon a large field of dead zerg's and protoss alike was left in their wake.

Fenix and his men where charging head long, ahead of the rest, they where relentless, they killed everything in their way, he himself was covered in Zerg blood his other men where as well, every time he swung his blade, blood flew from the blade itself. The Reavers had been outfitted with a field adjustment, they had twice as many wheels and this made them faster to move, about
as fast a the dragoons so they where able to loose their scarabs while still able to keep pace.

Tassader and his Templar's where focusing their minds heavily, they where constantly using a hallucination spell on the men to make it seem like the force was four times its normal size. The Templar's where also creating psionic storms on the hydralisks and ultralisks that tried to stem the protoss assault.

Zeratul and his dark Templar's where he most successful of all, they where moving cloaked throughout the ranks of the protoss men and they where killing everything that penetrated the protoss line. And Tarteris was on board the Carrier ship Arch-Sol, the carriers where filling the air that surround Auir, almost blotting out the sun in some parts of the fighting.

The Scouts gave them heavy support and only 5 carriers fell a minute. The Arbiters were recalling the troops that where slower then the others to the front lines, they even froze Zerg buildings so that they could advance faster, and let the carriers deal with them. The arbiters themselves gave a large area of cloaking and the zerg's were soon baffled that the protoss were attacking this heavily.

Zeratul say the conclave building and told them to go in their and see if, by some small chance that the judicators were still alive. As they charged their, more zerg came at them, the Ultralisks charged with their tusks out, however, the Archons moved infront of the Zealots and where able to take the majority of these beasts attention.

The zealots then continued to the conclave building with most of the other troops the Archons staying back to kill the bigger and stronger enemies, the reavers, who where slower, caught up with the fighting and were able to relieve the Archons and templars with their sacarbs.

As Zeratul got to the conclave building a large set of infested terran where waiting for him, 'bastards' he spoke to himself, and then cloaked, as did his other dark templar warriors, and they continued to enter the building, the infested terran charged the visable units and started to explode on impact, their kamakize style of attacking was somewhat new to the protoss.

And as a result of this many of them died because of their sucide. But soon the scouts came and relieved them with Air support. The Carriars making steady pace killing the hydralisks and sunken colonies that where murduring the protoss forces.

Zeratul reached the door to the man conclave building and threw the door open. As he did the site of a Terran came into view, he was still cloaked but he could see somewhat of a terran, with half of a zerg body, an Infested Terran he thought. He looked around and saw the severed and mutalitated bodies of the protoss leaders, and judicators, 'you bastard' he spoke to himself. He readied his blade and his other warriors did the same.

They charged this, Infested terran and were hell bent on killing it. their blades the only visable part of their attacking form they had a slight advantage over the enemy in this condition.

Suddenly, the figure vanished, 'Damn cerebrates' he told himself, suddenly a large vortex enveloped them, "what the hell?" Zeratul spoke aloud. Suddenly he was in a group of two judicators, "You survived!" spoke Zeratul, "Yes" they replied, "But everyone else is.. Dead" they spoke with much pain in their voice.

"I know" replied Zeratul, "We have come to cleanse this plague and soon we will" The judicators sat down and then told him, "The Cerebrates have taken bodily form on this planet. We are going to suffer greatly, we are now on Prothates, we will recall all of your forces to this place momentairly"

"That is very good" Zeratul spoke, "But we must hurry, we have the entire fleet here the 90% that left has come back, we are going to be a hard enemy to beat, the overmind knows this, we will die honorably, or win a great victory"

"READY" came the voice of a Super Carrier Pilot, "Yes Sir we are ready to decimate Jahr" the pilot nodded with satisfaction, 'RELEASE CANNON!" The super carrier charged its shot, while it was doing so the other carriers were following into line, they to would be destorying Jahr.

As the Super Carrier released its cannon, a long silver beam of pure energy shot towards the planet, this beam penetrated the atmosphere and the atmosphere seemed to burn in agnoy as the shot passed threw its midst. Then the shot hit the surface of Jahr, it never stopped it only continued to push threw.

Soon the planet would be sliced down the center and the other carriers would release their (not as powerful but still a good amount of power to them) cannons on the planets core. If any inhabitate on the planet had missed the battle, or had survived, was instantly ripped to peices from the ferocity of the blast.

The littered bodies of the battle where eaten by the blast, the dead landscape of the planet was torn to peices. Finally the beam came out of the other side of the planet, and the other carriers fired their cannons, together around 30 carriers did the job well enough.

Everything got very silent, well silent for space terms, then the planet seemed to collopse on itself, being separated the core of the planet had all of the gravity in it, so it pulled the parts of the planet back together and then imploded, and then continued to exploded. It was truely a marvelous sight to behold.

Then a large rift, or better to say, four or five large rifts appeared, and then carriers, including the super carrier Arch-Sol was soon hovering above the protoss forces on Prothates, they had recalled every soldier that had survived the battle to this point, and they where all talking in a solemn tone, knowing of the battle to come.

[Question Jul 4th, 02:22 GMT]
It seems the protoss are far pettier that I had first imagined. Even after virtually losing their beloved Auir they are still determined to complete their previous task ensuring the destruction of Jahr. Perhaps I have overestimated their danger to me as they seemed overly focused on mere trivialities. This is not my concern only their complete destruction. Now if only Malfurion would begin his attack.

Considering that I have seen first hand the devastating effects the Risen Carriers and an unknown number of them survived. For the time being I had to follow the instructions of the Overmind. Now was not yet the time for me to execute my overthrow plan. My hive was under construction, but I had a mere 100,000 hatchlings of various kinds a pitifully small number for a zerg army. I ordered the remaining troops and instructed the other broods to continue troop construction at their maximum rate as the majority of the zerg forces was decimated taking the conclave. I had no illusion that I would be able to convince the Overmind of my belief that we should revive our forces first and so I complied with his will.

Learning from our initial successes and failures the assault on Auir, I carefully initialized the attack on the protoss stronghold in Prothates. This time the guardians were supported by a number of scourges and mutalisks with the few remaining rabilisks supported by normal hydrolisks. The entire zerg army was separated into two main groups. The first group was intended to draw out the protoss force to better gauge the strength of their forces. One way or another I knew that this was the beginning of the final battle.

"Well, it has come down to this, even after so long we are still strong" Fenix spoke half-heartedly, "We are going to win this, it may be a blood massacre in which we all lose are lives, but if are race can continue the zerg will never win"

"Well said fenix" spoke Tassadar has he walked towards him. "You are correct in what you are saying" he smiled and then nodded to him, Fenix nodded as well, and then Tassader went to do other things. probes that had been saved on transports came down, vast amounts of banked resources where being used, photon cannons and bunkers where being made.

One bunker could hold four or five dragoons, then zealots would not enter any bunkers unless the need was to dire. The archons would also never enter a bunkers, they where just to big to do that. The remaining dark templar where called from shakuras, and soon a small division of dark templar warriors and dark archons where created and waiting for orders.

Zeratul was at the head of this division, he was talking to the men and telling them what to do. "It has been my experience with battle that we will try to be drawn out, if this does indeed happen, you dark archons will have to be ready to cast a maelstrom on anything that is not protoss, freeze whatever you see, we will have arbiters covering you as well as as much of the ground forces as possible. "

"We will have scouts everywhere in the battle, carriars will be at the walls of are fortress as well as the air around the battle, we will have shuttles bring comrades that are injured as well as fresh from the base to and from the battle, we will also be re-calling forces in designated area's to the fight, be always ready, never become lazy, for if you are called to battle, you will fight, you will kill, you will not think of mercy or of quarter, you will kill the enemy, this is your call to arms, this is the fight that will make you remembered for the ages."

"Most you you may die but that is a risk that you take when you join the arrmy. Some of you will live, and some of you will become legendary, but remember, noone is born a hero and noone wants to die like an idoit, be smart, be strong, and be cunning, we are the dark templar! We are the ancients of Auir! Will you reclaim your stolen home! Will you kill all that is in your path!" Spoke Zeratul.

"SIR YES SIR" was a spoken in unison from the men, "We will reclaim Auir!" was also said, they then went to their positions. Zeratul, Fenix, Tassadar, and Tarteris met before they all departed for their posts.

"Welcome my freinds" spoke Tarteris, "This may be the last time that we are together like this, so I want you all to remember that if any of us die, your names will become etched in history." they all nodded and shook hands, then bowed to eachother and then left, Fenix the stem the ground assualt, Zeratul to lead the Dark templar, Tassadar to lead the air units, and Tarteris to control the Carriars, and Arbiters.

This battle indeed would decide the fate for the entirity of Auir, and perhapes the universe itself. Every single man, comrade, soldier was ready to die, all of them ready to give their lives, not as mytars but as honorable soldiers that fought for his side, his faction and wether victorous or lose, they would not die in vain.
