my banker


here's the thing:

i was allied to 624/632. 625 was intruding on our core, and for some reason Galactica had this huge fleet and was in the process of 'farming' 632. i had 1 of 2 options, i could send my fleets 5+ ticks to help out 632 or i could ignore and hope they could push them back.



if i had sent out my whole fleet to try to break a a 625 portal, it would have left me vulnerable to attacks by 626 and 619 who are in a skirmish with me at the S2/4 border. On top of that, 625 would have come after my fam once they had finished with 632. I couldn't see my fam standing up too well against 3 fams during expo phase with me and Total War being the only ones doing a decent amount of attacking.



With regards to 624 feeling tht I betrayed them...I had sent multiple messages to funeral and humidity since BOR asking them how they are doing etc. No reply from my allies. So Galactica comes to me with a proposal:

- drop both my allies and form a tri with him and (another high ranking fam wink)

Galactica will tell you that I took ages making this decision because I didn't want to have to drop my allies. Even Total War will vouch for me here. If Galactica kept attacking 632, the possibility was that they would go inactive thus leaving my fam to fend for itself.

Eventually, I convinced Galactica that it would be best if I dropped 624 (hard decision) and the new tri to PNAP them. By forming a new tri with 625 and 632, I, am not bragging but, saved them from getting pounded and dropping. Honestly, I couldn't see my original tri becoming and holding onto the top spots.

coffee - we are napped to them so we can't swap planets with them without us both cancelling the nap and the resetting it.  Not to say I don't trust people in IC but...well i don't, lol.  So you pass them through intermeidates.  Not perfect I admit but it gets the job done.

i just went through my whole msg list i recived no messages from u this whole round other than one which was to tell me u guys were dropping me...

Also ilifrin, it was 4 planets and i kept the fam news to show this, not only that but u guys took then signed nap, we couldnt undeclare nap for 48 hours or so and still havnt since we dont trust u guys and would rather keep a p-nap then get 10 planets from u guys...

Whats done is done Galactica was on the way to do a banker raid and I was on the way to banker raid his fam. It would have ended badly for both 625 and 632. We did not want to drop you but it was the best for both fams before things got ugly.

shouldnt you make some effort and help your (now former allies) out by attacking the fam that will start the raid...

Keerbtje.. I never said Cloud was'nt an ecellent player and knows his stuff, its just the way he does about things. I agree if the fam done what he wtd it could have been a top fam but ic is more than finishing in the top its a lot to do with having a laugh as well.

Oh and Cloud ... i know most wanted owns our soles lol...

Then I guess its up to personal preference, I for one know that Cloud is one of the guys so far in my IC career that I've laughed the most together with. (And I've laughed of him as well though but shhh!)

Ill post once about this allies and won't respond and drop the topic after this.

I was in Toronto on Friday and didn't have leadership, this is when everything happened. 625 and my fam were fighting eachother quite a bit breaking portals and such because of the early spread 625 got. DM and myself both agreed that 624 should expo nap 625 because of close proximity. With DM fighting 19 and 16 and 624 not being able to help it was tough to battle in early expo stage. I came back from my 1 day trip and had msgs that allies were changed, i had no say on this matter but nonetheless agreed to take new allies, not saying i wouldn't of done the same if it was my decision. Offered PNAP and thats that.
