Re: The Martians are coming!

doesn't anyone else besides me believe the possability that we humans may be the advanced ones and the 'aliens' we seek may have some catching up to do?

just a thought but its very likely to me.

Re: The Martians are coming!

p.v.p.

I dont have time atm to have sit back and discuss this with you at this time.. perhaps soon tho. Your counters are so crazy to think we dont believe much of what you say.. it's a matter of the understanding the questions, "Who are we (aka "Who am I" to the narrcisist out there)", "What do we want?", and "Where are we going?". Are you missing the foundation of the first part that religion will answer? It seems the case. Again, you insist I am closed minded, yet say that there is not a God. "Pot calling the kettle black" are we?

Though I need to correct a few things you seem to think are true.

For one, that the first humans were Caucasian.. You apparently have never heard of the famous painting, "The Black Madonna", as well as the belief that Christ was of decent as the people that lived there. As you know there were romans there at the time, the lineage of Christ comes from the house of David, who, last I read, was not catagorized as "Caucasian".

Also, the Vatican itself says that we do not understand entirely the process that we arrived here and accepts that there is much more to learn. They do say that this should theory should be "evolved" with the understanding that this occurred as God willed it. Again, this also falls in teh campus of "who are we?" and the mysteries that will be revealed from this theory will help add to the answers already understood.

And the US has not gone to war lightly.. even with the start of WWII, it took alot to get us in that mess. 8000 years, is along time, considering the cuniform that exists where persia was is roughly that old. Also, other facts of math that egyptians knew 3000 years ago, such as integrals and derivatives, we've only recently reclaimed. So, those people may not have had the industrial tools we have today, they were learned people, and did and built many a wonder. So, much of the reason, and logic, such as what is in Pslams, should be something of a good read for you.

And all of moses plagues.. sure.. if you say so. Amazing that an occurance that has never ever reoccured in history since that time, was predicted by someone at that very moment in time. Who is the deluded one?

It appears to me that you need physical proof.. seek out an incorruptible that is near to you, and go pay a visit.

For those who understand, no explanation is needed.
For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible.

"doesn't anyone else besides me believe the possability that we humans may be the advanced ones and the 'aliens' we seek may have some catching up to do?"

It's possible but it is much more entertaining to think that somewhere out there are super advanced aliens as opposed to simple Amish-like aliens.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

Possible, but likely? Given that we are latecomers to the universe (we missed out on 14,000,000,000 years) anyone behind us in development is either very young, very slow, or did something supremely stupid.

What interests me about this issue are the rogue galactic fragments out there - fragments of galaxies that are tens of billions of years older than our galaxy, but yet are in relatively close in proximity to our younger galaxy.

Re: The Martians are coming!

If we're more sophisticated than the aliens that would really suck, they'd swamp us with refugees. Of course they'd do the jobs Terrans don't.

If they could travel space in contained spacecraft they could probably get by on the bed of the ocean.

I read a story about a Yankee trader who found an interdimensional gate and bartered antigravity for the Earth technology of paint.

Re: The Martians are coming!

It's cheap, it can be applied in minutes, its protective, waterproofs, almost weightless, longlasting, and its decorative.

So the aliens said "tell us more about this paint. Not that we want it, we're just curious"

And he said "now wait, paint is valuable stuff. I probably shouldnt have mentioned it" big_smile
And it went from there

I bet aliens dont have bees, we could trade those for fusion

But thats beside the point. I think if you just look at the sheer number of people that claim to be abducted in the US. While almost none are abducted in Mexico, Europe and shiloads of other places.

Whats special about americans?

Americans probably scream in the funniest way when probed

Re: The Martians are coming!

lol.

even if these aliens are more advanced, we humans are a tricky lot!  we would sell them opium like Napier did to thew chinese! haha, them asshole 'lords of technology' would be addicted to paint hehe.

Re: The Martians are coming!

There's a good chance, given the number of stars with the capacity to support colar systems, that some form of life exists elsewhere. Doesn't anyone else think that life may have existed elsewhere and then died out? The strongest radio wave ever transmitted was into deep spaceabout 25 years ago. (This correct?) It contains basic information about the human race and is one of the biggest projects in terms of trying to contact ETs. So, it's travelling at lightspeed, will take many many years to get to somewhere and a reply would take just as long. So, others may be trying the same idea, but are so far away that we'll never know, or are so underdeveloped we won't know, or are far better and are hiding beause they know we mucked up. Continuing the radio thing, (I read this last year so I've forgotten most of it,) but the other forms of looking into deep space have seen further and found nothing, (as yet,) so this may well not prove any more successful. Also, looking x-number of lightyears into space will mean that the light we see is also x-number of years old. Meaning that the light we would be seeing would have left there x-nmber of years ago and we'd see the object as it was x-number of years ago. Then, that could mean that as we see it was before life started developing into a noticeable or recognised form.

Bit crazy this, but if the universe is about 15 billiion years old, and light is the fastest thing and everything is travelling away from the point of the big bang, then that means everything has been travelling for 15bilion years in every direction. So, universe has a radius of 15 billion lightyear and diameter of 30 billion lys.
Very approximate and devoid of theories I know!

Re: The Martians are coming!

I don't so much believe the abduction ideas but I believe that somewhere out there there is almost certainly other forms of intelligent life.

The radio thing was just a publicity stunt. The message will take 25000 years to reach it's destination, a destination which in reality is ulikely to have habitable worlds due to the stars being the wrong kind of stars, and even if there is someone listening it will take another 25000 years before we hear them say "Pardon?". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arecibo_message
But someone did try again in 2001, and this time they aimed at a cluster of stars we know to have at least a few Jupiter type planets, and they are relatively close at ~40 light years away.

How's this for odd: Because of the expansion of the universe some of the light reaching us has actually travelled more than, for example, 15 billion lightyears so some things actually seem older than the universe itself.

Re: The Martians are coming!

There is some probability that there is life out there but it is highly improbable that it is life which has human-like intelligence. We're already a very unique species within animal life here on earth. Take into account the vast distances across the universe and it's very likely we're the only "humanly" intelligent species we'll ever meet.

Re: The Martians are coming!

A civilization that can't bear to transfer information at 56kps would never stand for that.

What if it gets sucked into one of them freaky holes? Worm hole here, worm hole there, OMG! Instant connection.<

Even if a stable wormhole could naturally occur in our universe the transmission would have to be aimed directly at it (Wormholes don't suck, they're just there) and even if that occured the message would likely be scrambled by the journey... assuming a radiowave can even exist in a wormhole.
