1 Darklords Minions (1253)
3rd in size. 4th in nw.
have been first for ages now, doing a great job with infra whoring. look like a strong family and if they keep up how they are going can surely remain in the top 3 by the end. a change of leadership in this family, does this mean internal troubles? or just inactivity or just nothing. we will wait and see. don't see where they are going to get a full on war from so this family is set to stay in the top 3 for the rest of the round. good mix of active banker/attackers in the top half of family, and a few smaller attackers waiting to clear any little people who may try to get a share in their core. overall its a good mix.

2 Hate (1250)
2nd in nw and 1st in size. look to be taking 1st place in score very soon as well. doing a great job. they got big big bankers that must be feeding them cash. and quite a few attackers that are doing a good job to keep cores clean and the fat bankers safe. could and probably should take 1st or 2nd this round, they don't seem to have much heavy competition around them, they and their allies have secured a nice bit of space in sector 4 and have pushed into sector 3 crushing any hope of 1238 or 1237 to explore any further into their own sectors. if they keep doing what they are doing they should be set up for a high ranking finish. not sure i see any families around them that can pose any great threat to their nice little infrawhoring empire.

3 BenDover (1245)
1st in nw and 4th in size.
another great family show, these guys are doing everything necessary to secure them a very high finish. don't think they will keep up in planet size to 1250 but are keeping up in nw. this is the family i am watching since i think if they pick a target then they can do some serious damage to a family. a likely target could be 1243 which are 1250's allies. they would be a good target since they are up there and equal in both planets but 1243 is almost 1million short in nw. this family has a great attacking strength and a top notch banker to support them and feed them cash. but have they put all their eggs in one basket? they need to protect their one huge banker and keep him safe otherwise i could see all the big attackers falling shot and not having enough money to pay for fleet and growth.

4 Ferocious Fruits of Pinwheel (1251)
7th in nw and 7th in size.
this family look like they have explored all they can explore and are going to have to fight for anymore planets. they are seriously lacking in planets compared to the families around them and as a consequence their nw growth has been stunted. looks like they have quite a few big ranking families around them, and when the explo phase ends they are a likely target to get warred and since the gap in nw is already getting bigger, it could be bad for these guys.

5 Fools on Fire (1247)
5th in size and 5th in nw.
just 5th all around! they got a great amount of space and a lot more room to explore into. they haven't kept up with the top 3 but are no means out of the race. with strong attackers and good bankers they can keep in it. but they will have to look to take on and crush a top 3 family if they are going to win this round. a nice mix of big bankers and attackers should mean their economy is safe in case of unseen circumstances. these are going to have to pick up the pace quite a lot if they want to stand a chance of winning.

6 Love (1243)
2nd in size and 6th in nw.
these guys are stuck in between top 2 and 3. luckily one of which is their ally. but are they going to be the barrier 1250 have between them and 1245? they could be likely targets for 1245 as they have less nw than them but more planets. how ever they have a good mix of big bankers/attackers and small attackers. so they will be no push over for 1245. i can see these taking on 1245 with their ally possibly or maybe 1253. they are going to need to take on another family to get into top 3. i can't see these winning the round or coming 2nd. but 3rd is very possible.

7 DARK CLAN WARRIORS (1244)
3rd nw and 8th in planets.
these guys need planets and badly. they must be hitting serious overbuild costs and it is surely going to slow them down way to much unless they can war a family and get loads of planets i don't see them coming in top 3. good base of players with big bankers and attackers. will need to be super active and get some luck to get into the top 3 this round.

8 We Love BJS! Ben and Jerrys! (1255)
8th in nw and 6th in size. these guys looks slightly planet fat. with all the planets filling up these guys will need to boost their nw quite considerably if they don't want to look like a nice target for families that are low on planets but higher in nw. other than that they are having a good round with some solid performances coming in all over the family. good bankers and attackers i can see these staying around about where they are. possibility of them going up 1 or 2 but not much more.
