it's more of a comment on the British view's on sex and how it's so taboo that people wear literally layers of clothing in order not to be provocative towards the opposite sex.

You've never actually been to Britain have you?
I spent two months in britian, one month in france, three weeks in germany (high on e) and two weeks in amsterdam (high on mushrooms and ganja) during my christian bands tour. Have you ever heard of Hindsight?
Ah, that explains why you think the British have some weird taboo about sex; small cross-section of a minority group (Atheists have the majority in the UK).
Sorry, I don't do christian music; too samey. I did give it a chance, listened to a few reccommended groups, but to be honest all I heard was lots of different ways of saying "Jesus is my special friend" and "Jesus loves me/you". Sometimes they get kind of creepy, like one song called "Whispers in the Dark" which, to my mind, made Jesus out to be a stalker.
Honestly we sing like punk christian love songs, that unless you knew we were christian rock, you wouldn't even know we were singing about jesus/god
Trust me, Christian songs can be spotted a mile away, all that's missing is a coked-up gospel choir ![]()
isnt it just pop music but with "baby" changed into "jesus" ?... ![]()
I disagree with you there Fokker. While most christian music probably is like that, there's this band called Woven Hand that is actually awesome. Quite a lot of their songs are bible-inspired (not all though), and they sound great. I'm a fan of them, although I just neglect the christian message (it's not meant to convert people, so why would I be bothered?)

"it wasn't maria, it was Mary, and that was his mother, and his wifes name was mary as well, which I find interesting."
It's mary in english, Maria in dutch
Also Mary Magdalene (Maria Magdalena) was not Jesus' wife, well not according to the bible, and since we lack proper evidence we can't claim otherwise.
lol, now it looks like I'm defending religion (wich I don't really dislike, but I hate how it's presented by many as the alternative for science or even as a science).
And isn't it funny that Gay Bar is posting in Christian Community. I thought they are against gayness? ![]()
i know a gay teacher that teaches "christian faith"...
(godsdienst) and he helps with church groups and stuff... and the priest knows he is... ![]()

Look up bands like 'Blindside' 'Flyleaf' 'Red' all hardcore christian rock bands, but you can't really tell they're singing about god.

Well, there's a large gap in the telling of jesus christs life. Between the ages of 12-30 there is nothing about jesus. Now, he was a good jewish son, and what good little jewish carpenters do, is get maried and have children. though there is no solid evidence of this, it's only friggin logical, considering he said that we must be fruitful and multiply, meaning have children. Within their religion you can't have children unless you are maried.
Charlie Manson, as I pointed out throughout the entire thread is that we only know 2 things about Jesus if we base ourselves on historical facts:
1) he existed in the area that is now Israel
2) he was a big enough disturbance to get crucified.
That's where the historical facts end, and all the rest are mere assumptions. Of course, we are to assume that he had a wife and children, there's no proof to support it. That's all I'm trying to say here. All that goes beyond that (without some supporting evidence) is not history, that's the domain of Dan Brown, authors like him or religious interpretations ![]()
honestly, who's to say he actually existed? there's no physical remains of him.
But there are 2 different, independent and neutral sources that speak of him. It is thus proven that he did exist Manson.
One of these sources being the Roman Empire, if I'm not mistaken.
Both of them.
hiiii fokker and KtC! how have you been?
I'm just buggin you guys ^.^
Of course ![]()
