Topic: The Haiku Thread

Haikus are quick and easy! For those of you that don't know, they are short 3-line poems, and the first line has 5 syllables, the second has 7, and the last line has 5 again. I would immensely like to hear some of the IC community's!

Oh, thank you God for
Enjambment, without it I
Would suck at Haikus.

Furthermore on Haikus, I am pretty sure they have to have some sort of plot twist on the 3rd line I cannot remember what this is technically called although I could probably google Haiku's very quickly...Anyway here is my haiku's.


A grim sight to see
Head down, kneeling, a tear
As he proposes



Bloody red field
Sad men gathering what

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

yes you do.  your first line needs 5 syllables and then it's a haiku

Haiku's are really fun.
But sometimes they don't make sense.
Refrigerator.
