the most recent issue of the economist says that obama won hands down. i'm sure though that other sources such as fox, abc (disney) and other such news conglomerates would argue otherwise.

All of the German media claim that Obama won. They are citing American Sources though like San Francisco Times and others.
I think that I speak for a vast majority of the Europeans if I say that I hope that Obama wins and this is not even because I consider McCain to be the inferior candidate. I personally just couldn't sleep tight any more if I knew that a "hockey mom" whose foreign affairs experience is limited to seing Russia's shore across the Bering Strait has become the vice president. The moment this happens - if it happens - I start digging a bomb shelter in my houses backyard at day time and at night time I will pray for John McCain's health and that he actualy lasts the four years.

economist is a brit magazine, and a fairly well respected one at that. and i do agree with the hockey mom comment. mccain is old enough to have a bucket list, if (f)alin takes over then the ship will really start its voyage to the bottom. i dont support either candidate though, i like ron paul but obviously that wont happen so i guess i'll just go for the lesser of 2 evils.

I for my part think that Biden is way more competent than Palin is. I would trust him to run the U.S. if anything happens to Obama more than I would trust Sarah Palin.
Well, I think anyone that is vetted enough by their party is ok to run.
I mean, we may not agree.....but there are a lot of people above our pay grade that surely are much wiser than us.

I think Palin is dong just fine. I wish she would be more herself, and not trying to be so politically correct.
On Palin and Oil, you all do realize much of Alaska's Oil is exported.....and it is a state that has vast ocean resources that are internationally culled.
Palin does have experience that is acceptable to the Republican base.

1 person thought palin could do good after meeting her once --> she might be a great person, we do not fully know her yet, it's only been a month
i've seen obama for 2 years now on national tv - but the fact is, all i have is what she's said and done in the last weeks to judge her, how am i suddenly some out-of-touch person if i'm saying i don't think she can be a good president
now you might point out, that she's run a state for a year, but those are all domestic issues, i'll give you the domestic issues, i'll say she's good even when i think her domestic ideas are crazy and she's someone who's more religous and religously inspired than i'm comfy with --i mean we might have to war some man named Joe 666 pack if she thinks he's the anti-christ

sure, she might for some, for others she doesn't and sadly they can't vote for palin alone and they respect mccain and will probably have to end up voting for him with their noses pinched together
that's the sad thing about it, people can't vote for palin-- i really think mccain should've been more smart about his choice, because republicans would've voted for him anyway to not elect obama--lets get this clear, palin has only energized republicans--this thing isn't going anywhere else, for a moment in september it seemed like it was, but once the haze cleared, it was aparent it wasn't heading anywhere else

I think Biden has an understanding of the issuess, what has he been? a 6 term senator or so?
he's done some great work, he's been in the spotlight for some 30 or so years
whether you agree with his ideas are not, we won't be running for our life if he becomes president or atleast we'll know what to excpect
and he has had his share of gafs but atleast he doesn't show his foriegn policy experience by telling people which countries he can see
atleast they didn't make "Joe the plumber" a tool like mccain did
