Does anyone have market strategies that they can share with me?
I dont really know anything about playing the market..
but id like to find out if theres more to it than just selling high and buying low..
There's only one concept you have to understand.
Supply/Demand

other things i wanted to know about was like one of my friends told me the market often crashes at the start,, and things become hell expensive and you wont be able to buy endy or iron at EOR cos of jumps..
this is stuff i want to know about .. cant learn if u dont ask questions
There are only a few ICers who do it irl, BW is the most outspoken

ah, a serious answer to what everyones been posting, to be able to play the market you need to have allot of something, say, allot of iron is usually a good place to start...
unfortunately you will need to be very active to play the market effectively, and the market is normally run by bankers...
I don't have the time and dedication to play the market properly, but if you want to just get a quick buck you wait until the market inflates, then you sell like crazy ( normally you buy at a cheap price, then as the demand increases later you sell what you got for cheap ) just keep in mind the decay
The quick 1 tick way buy small amounts and sell small amounts higher than you purchased for. This can be done tick by tick.
The hard long way. Have a lot of cash and like others said a lot of the resource you want to play. When I say a lot of cash you will have to know how far into the round it is and such. You will have to have enough to buy the market out and then sell at 50.
Then when others try to come in less than 50 buy that as well. This takes a while, usually 5-7 ticks to make a ton but you will usually make a lot more than doing the other way, but like the real world market it has a lot of risk and takes a lot of cash upfront. The galaxy has to be pretty active. I know I am in pw this round so not sure if others are better, but the market when I first started playing was a lot more active and a lot easier to make more money.
Price of oil has gone down, so might be a worth while investment. You know it won't stay low for long.

watch the market because there's peaks and drops
monitor peoples activity time, the more people on, the more the market fluctuates.
and the harder it crashes lol
eventually if farms get organized, the market usually ends up by the top 10 fams, who are active, and the smaller fams just sell at a good time, its an interesting system

unfortunately i cant play the market much because were having the worst round ever,,
rank 43rd in capri. lol
something like 7/8 maybe 9 inactives, 3 deletes, 1 rogue who stole my bankers planets at start of round,,
5th ranked family attacking us.
what more could go wrong
You could have Artic and glue both random into ya fam at the same time ;P

When trading resources on the market, make sure to buy low and sell high. Try to watch how certain events affect the market throughout the round to become an expert market player!
From those things you get inbetween ticks
