McCain, he got a free degree!
no one is defending the intelligence of McCain, he got his ass handed to him by Bush after all ![]()
as for Obama; i thought he didnt let his academic files get released to the public, what makes you say he was first in his class?
I am 10x more intelligent than Obama.
I am in the upper 20% of my class without even trying. By not trying, I mean
1. I party a lot.
2. I am on the computer a lot.
3. I never read my books.
4. I always cram study.
5. I always do my papers (including research papers) the night before they are due.
Yet I still get As and Bs in every subject.
yeah, a class of monkeys...
i never tried in highschool and i was in the top 1%; so hah.
the fact of the matter is that we have these problems when the people that are rich try to separate the rich from the poor, there by eliminating the middle class... but in the AMERICAN way of things it can only happen every 100 or so years.... but Europe has done it successfully since the middle ages... so how stupid are we.
and it seems that everyone else's economy in the whole world drops ten times as much as ours when we have these problems. so when you point a finger at someone else, keep in mind that 3 are pointed right back at you.
BC is a great example of stupidity. he calls it success when there is less space between the rich and the poor. you should strive for the improvement of all, not knock down the rich so they're closer to the poor.
wow you totally miss my point.
i am not condoning the rich bastards that cause it, i am saying that at least in America when it happens they learn enough that for a hundred years or more they realise that it is impossible to achieve for longer than a few years, and during that time a lot of them (usually the most affluent) get killed, go broke, or find themselves living in hiding from those that have nothing in fear of death.
here in America, if the broke have nothing, they stop buying from big businesses, and the ma&pa's open up again... so the rich are stuck with what they have, and no one does commerce with them again till they have the means, and never those that have put them there.
so by cutting out the middle class, they in effect cut themselves off from the people, and have to buy at our prices, and when we see a rich person.... well then the term "a fool and his money are soon parted" comes to mind.

i do admit i was wrong there
I can't find his exact standing - he graduated magna *** laude, which would place him in the top tier but likely not at the very top (which would be summa *** laude).
who cares, Obama and McCain are both our problem, it seems that people as a whole are so ignorant that they have turned in to Bart Simpson, and keep trying to grab the donut that shocks them.... but the fact is that rep's and dem's will keep lieing to us and doing nothing till we as a people stand up and get another party.... most may not know this but our founding fathers wanted three strong parties, because of exactly what has been going on for the last 75 years, a two party system loses some of the checks and balances, because of the behind door deals.
Avo,
Sure it counts.
The reason high school doesn't is because they vary so much in quality. My high school was better funded, had experienced teachers, and the students were generally much more competitive, involved in the community, and more mannered than elsewhere in the country.
I probably went to the same High School Soth did, so he can tell you about it.
In college, the environment demands much higher quality than most high schools lol. I go to college and boom I pass with flying colors, while most everyone else struggles. A professor asks what the Cuban Missile Crisis was, and I am the only one who knows. I write a history paper, and the professor commends me on my excellent use of logic and organization. You get the idea.
The reason I am so much smarter than Obama is because of the output I get for a pathetically small input.
Justinian, are you sure you're not my evil twin separated at birth?
"A professor asks what the Cuban Missile Crisis was"
and this was in college? my opinion of your college just went from curious to lament.
The Cuban Missile Crisis is
A) when JFK stood up to Kruschev and doomed the USSR's attempt to become a truly global power
B) when the US military succeeded in wresting control of policy from the state dept, setting the stage for US inolvement in Nam
C) when krushchev duped Kennedy into accepting castro and scrapping a missle class along the soviet border of Turkey at no cost to the USSR
D) all of the above
"and this was in college? my opinion of your college just went from curious to lament."
yep. Justinian is definitely either going to a party school or one of those universities you go to before going to a real university, cant think of the name...

universities vary very much in quality too.... and if all you're learning at university is what the cuban missle crisis was, i strongly advise you to stop paying tuition and go to a real university.
how do you know the amount of output Obama gets from a small input doesnt match or surpass yours?
avogadro... you are an elitist that thinks that because you have learned everything that you think of as knowledge, is the only thing to know, the truth is that you have only what you have been taught as knowledge, the rest of real knowing far ecapes you.
because when it comes to being a friend or having to provide without someone doing it for you for cash, you would be lost.
so basically if the world (the majority of people) decided to not provide your supermarkets or walmarts... then you would just die.
which is your just reward for being truly ignorant.
wow, what a hypocrite.
the elitist calling me an elitist.
on these forums, im a douche bag; theres a difference!
Zarf,
We could be. Why, is my experience similar to yours?
Simon,
No it wasn't even in a History class. It was one of my general classes, and the professor asked the question for her amusement. She received a number of puzzled looks lol.
Avo,
Well, there are bars just across the street of campus that I love to go to particularly on Thursday, but there are a lot of parties at most Universities. Secondly, we did not learn about the Cuban Missile Crisis. The professor was curious and amusing herself if anyone knew, since studies show that Americans are ignorant of especially geography and political history. She asked the question and everyone had puzzled looks.
<<how do you know the amount of output Obama gets from a small input doesnt match or surpass yours?>>
God said so.
Justinian,
Do you sincerely believe the answer to the said question depend on environmental variables?

Justinian posts to stroke his ego and find amusement; nothing he says here should be taken seriously.

well, Universities differ in even larger degree then highschools. you have the best students of the best highschools going to the best universities and the worst students of the worst highschools going to the worst universities; so theres a greater distinction between universities then highschools.
"In college, the environment demands much higher quality than most high schools lol."
Ok this made me laugh so hard I passed out. I attend college and in August I walk out with a B.A.T. There is absolutely no demand for quality, teachers expected more out of me in elementary. As long as I show up and fill in the right boxes on exams they don't care about the quality of my work. I could walk in with an eraser with sticks coming out the bottom and say it's a foundation model and it wouldn't matter. Now maybe it's because all of my proffessors have jobs outside the college but I doubt it.
