i dont like beer, but i can appreciate a kriek from time to time... (i dont find kriek a real beer though...)
I agree with you there Fudged..
WFS, those beers arent really available outside the EU.
One of the people i know in turkey lives in ankara and in a speciallaty store the only thing they had from us was Leffe. And she found that the best she had.
And it costs bucketloads of cash.
"WFS, those beers arent really available outside the EU."
That doesn't make them less good though! And some are available, like Duvel and Chimay ![]()
Leffe is nice fairly strong to
also really enjoyed James Boges from Tasmania but then were talking larger not beer.
well, i have acouple ideas where i might be able to find some here in the US, soon i'll depart on my quest and i'll let you guys know if i have any success.
I firmly believe in Yuengling
i am back from my quest! i got a 4-pack of Duvel, a 750 mL bottle of La Chouffe, a 750 mL bottle of Westmalle, and despite it not being on WFS's list, i got a 750mL bottle of Saison Dupont, because well, its from Belgium.
i also saw some kriek, but decided against buying it. so whoever said "WFS, those beers arent really available outside the EU.", you're wrong!
hmmm, Duvel isnt bad. i have to work later today though so i cant try them all. ![]()
haha, avogadro, I think you are really sending the torpedoes today :-)
and while it is possible to find those beer in the USA, outside of the EU they are kind of hard to find.
Good luck tasting those beer though.
@spiritual - larger also counts as beer... in my honest alchoholic opinion ![]()
@Listos - Yuingling is good, especially the draft version. I had some old Yuingling in glass bottles though, that is why I stopped drinking it, unless it is draft.
What is this beer you speak of? I only know of Rum. yaaaaarrrrrr.
rum = sailor jerry's. best kick for your buck
Hhehehehe Avogardo cant believe you went out and bought half a beer shop just so you could test the beers, class ![]()
when you're 21, you have buddies constantly coming and going, that much beer wont last me long.
1. Nice try Smiof, you can't have my beer
2. Wouter you know Mexico makes some great lagers the old way and California has better stouts than Belgium, which tries to cover up by insisting dark beers arent necessary.
3. Bevmo.com noobs!
3. My #2 favorite beer is North Coast Old Rasputin Imperial Russian Stout, which is like a rye/sourdough pancake batter thinned with alcohol. If you can ever get to Humboldt, CA the Lost Coast Brewery whips up batches of test beers for local pizza joints and bars. My #1 favorite beer is their Brown Organic lager of April 2004 which they never bottled. It went down sweet and creamy like A&W root beer. I drank about 4 literss by myself. It isnt bottled so you cant get any. Neither can I
But in my day, I touched the Grail...and drank deep...
one of the stores i went to had Duchesse de Bourgogne; is that any good?
Arguing beers online is silleh
Someday I'll go to Belgium and bring some US beers
And I'll drink them in front of you and tell you how good they are, in person
Well liquor isnt beer
but myf am beer is corona ![]()

Yell - I am not in Belgium, haha, for you to come and drink them in front of me :-) but I agree that I am not arguing beer online, I just need some recommendations
For example, I have never had a californian beer, but I will check at Total Wine if they have some tomorrow.
Budweiser!
