Horrible debate.

Yeah 100k a year only goes so far nowadays. Not saying it isn't a good amount of income, but you'd have to have like a family of 3 tops to live comfortably with that amount. The average American household is 5 though.
Upper middle class is like 200k, lower being about 90k. They say you're not rich until you hit the 300k a year mark.
But that's just what they say =p
lol I live comfortably off $12,000 a year.
But $100,000 counts as upper middle class in the Midwest. In New York or California, however, you'd be poor with that amount of money. It depends where in the US you live, because the cost of living varies. Where I live, a typical house is $100k, and a 5,000 sq ft home is 600-800k. In California, a shack is going to be at least $800k. Here, you can also live pretty nice on 50k/year as an individual, and with $100k you're living the high life.

100K in NYC makes you poor.
You can file for food stamps and Medicaide.
yeah here you have to make atleast 80K to survive, about 30K of that would go to taxes though... 50K will get you just past the paycheck, any extras like clothes, or movies you gotta open a credit card 
I don't see how anyone lives on 12k a year unless they still live with mom and dad and they don' t have any actual bills.

It pays for my own apartment, sends me to school, and pays my bills like internet, cable, and food etc. It also lets me spend money on partying every Thursday.
It's just that the cost of living is lower where I live lol.
I could also live a minimalist existence off $7000 a year, and that's with very little spending money. That means no car, school, or health insurance. It also means a room mate. At least we have the metro bus

a topic about the "presidential debate" if it can even be called that should not have exceeded 1 post at the very max. if you still are under the impression that presidential debates are anything more than pointless dribble about where the candidate buys their shoes or gets handjobs then you're extremely gullible and/or ignorant. wake up and smell the Victory Coffee.... or drink that Kool-Aid.
