anyone can make an argument that a strat is not working in the first 15 days of a round, even up to 20, if you have some late joiners, like we did.
but the fact that you couldn't follow leadership to finish it, and work it through, shows that none of you with few exceptions should ever be leader.
for no reason, no matter how daft you think your leaders idea, you should never ever not follow the leaders strat, because right or wrong, your hole family ends up the recipient of a bad beating.
the only time to change leaders is mid way through round, or as respected from the start.
this was a lesson to a lot of you.... if you were not leader.
then the only way a strat works, is that everyone follows it, other wise it will be your whole families demise.
learn to lead as you would want others to follow, and if it goes bad then you know who to blame, usually the ass-whole that starts fighting for other strats DAY ONE.
do your self a favor... kill them off immediately.
experience has told me that it is better to fight with 8 people as a team, than half of 20 that wont follow the strat.

Depends on what you define as strategy and leadership. Most people don't like to be robots for the greater good. I've seen strats where virtually every tick for the first week was predefined and the leader kinda enforced this. Most likely this strategy is very optimised but it is far from fun imho.

I think as a leader you need to set some general guide lines and let your fam freely operate within those guide lines. Personally i find the motivator inspirator function more important than enforcing a certain strategy. It's a game smile Given some internal competition, jump cycles / aid chains, subteams and a family chat the teamspirit will come naturally.

the strat was to expo the cores with three planets a piece for bankers, two for resource/attackers (core cleaners), and one for HC attackers, then let the POP bankers fill in the systems close to the center, while the CF's took the outside planets.
i wanted all the bankers to build they're TO's in the cores, so that losing a planet further away didn't necessarily mean a great loss of income.
i wanted the POP bankers to stay up with the 200% TO bonus so that they could afford enough wizzies, and ground, to defend from raids.
it really wasn't as complicated as weiler made it look.

and as far as building, i did make strong suggestions, but i knew that not everyone would follow it, and the one guy that was supposed to, didn't do as i said, meaning he should have kept up with his pop growth with welfare research and LQ's.

nope it is actualy 66/33 you have to have double the TO's as all of the buildings you have.
