Radio/Television waves travel at the speed of light, and it has been almost 150 years since the first radio broadcast, so anyone on a planet with a radio/TV that is inside 150 Ly knows we are here.

If they capeable of space travel over vast distances I excpect thay are many years ahead of us and have evolved above the necesity of god a long time ago.

It is also very unlikely that they are not carbon based as carbon reacts very well with other substances. But lets say they are silicon based, that would mean that evolution of such beings would take much longer than here on earth because silicon doesn't react as well as carbon. That would mean that they are millions of years if not billions ahead of us.

Thay would most likely be hostile because they would view our civilization as inferior. An example is that if an anthill gets in the way of human developement, do we destroy it or leave it be because we view the ants as our equals.

I like to think of it this way, if aliens have been coming here and abducting people we're perfectly fine.  Consider the average abduction victim, most humans don't want to associate with these people and as far as the aliens are concerned there is an entire world of them.

Personally if an alien race was capable of travelling through space to get here at the speed of light then I would think they'd have figured out how to study something without needing actual interaction.  Furthermore I'm pretty sure any race of such technological ability would view the human race as a threat or view them in much the same way explorers viewed the natives of the Americas when they first encountered them.  The reason I say threat is because as a whole the human race is rather violent and if we were ever capable of travelling through space as they do there'd be the definite risk of that tendency to violence coming with us.  Now if aliens viewed us as ignorant savages there are three roles they might take; Teacher, Slaver, Exterminator.  Now personally I don't like 2 to 1 odds it would suck to be us so here's hoping we find them not the other way around.

Now you know as well as I do we'd be sending missles if anything and the only thing we'd be shouting is "Get away from our hydrogen we called dibs."  And I say this because not only are people, on average, very violent we're also very very stupid.

Please do not get religeon and science mixed up. You are not a rational person if you believe in god. Giving yourself up to a higher power is very childish and irresponsible. I don't have a problem with religeous people just with the hardcore ones. And the way you put religeon and science under one subject I can not accept. Don't pray to a higher power and hope. Take care of your own life. Don't put all your faith and trust into a 2000 year old space god. When has the bible and church been proven to be right before?!? NEVER.

The earth isn't the centre of the universe, eyes dont have invisible tentacles that you feel around with. The world isn't 6000 years old. Masturbation isn't a sign of lunacy.

The main difference between religeon and science is that science is very flexible and open to new ideas. Religeon is strict and rigid and it's priciple's are unchangeable.

Why do you think  they wouldn't destroy us? Art, poetry, machines... nothing. U cannot begin to imagine how far they have developed. Ok maybe the anthill example was a little har to comprehend.

Another example would be if the USA would find an ancient tribe. There would be some geology tests taken and they would find the largest oil field in the world. The tribe refuses to let them drill.
a)Do they let the tribe be and don't drill, just leaving the place.
b)Do they bribe the tribe into letting them drill, turning their homeland into an oilfield.
c)Do they forcefuly relocate the tribe.
d)Do they "accidentaly" poison the tribes water supply.

The church tried to have the guy executed(copernicus I think it was) who thought of the idea of the sun being the centre of the solar system. It was also forbidden to spread that idea in catholic countries. During that period of scientific and cultural opression most scholars fled to england, where the church had less of an influence.

religeon cannot change it's basic structure without becoming a different religeon. Science can. Science is still science. Religeon depends on faith, science on facts.
If you show me sufficient evidence of god I will believe. All of moses's plaques have been explained in a scientific way.

Was your family christian? Were you forced to go to church as a child? Did you choose christianity at a later time in life? Did you look into and consider other religeons before christianity?
