lol. Most of the people who play IC at the moment *are* experienced players. If you don't have drafting, many experienced players will random into crappy, unorganised fams and then either:
1. Be semi-active all round
2. Be inactive all round
3. Get bored of IC and quit forever.

Having strong lower ranked fams is all well and good. I liked the way this round in Capricorn there was a very smooth planet distribution. It wasn't like the top 5 fams owned 70% of the planets int he gal. The top 29 fams had over 1000 planets (with the top only having a bit more than 3x that). However, since the experienced players were more distributed, it also meant that there were less challenging fams in the top 10.

Ah,  you got it on most points.

First, no drafts mean we wont have exp players flockin together (schooling). They will get spread out. We wont have those nasty top tens with 4 exp players raping random inexp fams.

Second, a result of that, is they, (if willing) will HAVE to teach new players. You will have to help your fam learn, to succeed. (you should be doin it anyways)

A true player, will make the best of the fam they have. An exp player, randoming into a crappy unorganized inactive fam, will first do their best to organize, an get em active, and teach em.
I have never been semi-active, inactive, or plannin to leave because of a fam I randomed into. I have always tried to make em active, and teach em. I have randomed outa top ten fams, cause there is no challenge.

To me, I welcome my random into a small fam with inactives and inexp. I can teach em, and bring em active, and help em rise.

Eh, I feel reshuffles are good, and no draft is good. Both force you to play with people you dont know.

I still think the gal should stay the way it is but longer. If you say boring round blaim yourself speacially you elro you were leader. I mean if you think its boring just war it will get bettter then smile.

Why is there a reshuffle? After 1 damn round and there is a shuffle? I think ill. Delete and leave again.  +h and yea, things been working. So the bright idea would bee to go back to the old ways that didnt work? It took me 4 asted yrs to get the newer mods to change things and now peeeps want 20 peeps per fam, 8 drafts and (ri alliances when there isnt enough peeeps!

The only thing the galaxy needs is reducing family numbers. The mods them self admitted to having too many families this round. So that should be given. tongue

Too many fams yet they reopeoned tri??? I dont care anymore, these idiots change there mind last second notice wasting my time and alot other peoples time. Peeps wont bother with idiots like this. U others might as well join pw if u want a reshuffle every round.

Eh, damn it, 10 players in a fam. Reshuffle after 4 rounds. No drafts, at all. Same size map.

Why do people want 15 players per fam or 20? its such a hazzle to control them sad

12 players per family and 4 drafts was a good idea this round and we should keep it, just drop the number of map systems, they were too many this round, families need to fight for their planets, not just free explore.

20-30 families as max number is okay, more its just a waste, we will have 1-5 player families again and we will get alot of people whining and random/deleting all round X(

20 player fams and 9 friends playing resulted in super fams and all the better players grouped in fewer famss. - should know! 12 player fams with less drafts equeled more equal fams and more good players spread out. Also reshuffling every 3 rounds is bad. Need to reshuffle every 2 rounds, so things can be changed and adjusted.  We had 6 of us in our fam 2 weeks. And now we got 11 and without being active we still survived being smallinto the round

I gotte agree with PP on this one. Big fams lead to superfams, especially if the game wasnt shuffled that round. It just gets worse and worse. Just remove 20% systems and make 12 player fams.


btw, i liked the ammount off unexplored planets this round. That leaves a way for small rank 30-40 fams to gain planets without being raped in return for 1 attack. Gives them a nice reason to play after the first 4 weeks

I personally have no problem with 12 player fams. But this round needs to be reshuffled because 50 fams seemed to be just a bit too much and there's no way we can reduce the amount without a shuffle. 40 fams tops would be best I think from now on. Cap filled up this round but there was a lot of inactivity and the only reason it wasn't really made a big issue is because the galaxy was HUGE! Obviously a lot bigger than it needs to be. 2500 systems will be the max for next round. Large galaxy but not overly large I think.

20 player fams probably would be a bit too much. But it seems we're going with 30 fams of 15 anyways unless there's a large uproar with that.

So true, by far most experienced player are NOT willing to spent time in teaching new players. On the other hand its also unfair because the experienced players will NOT get devided equaly over the galaxy, there are always fams with a lot of experienced players, and then you feel really unlucky when you land in the bottom fam. If you only could be drafted somewhere else...

Make it 12 or 15 player fams, with draft spots, same mapsize.

rounds 2.5-3 months long,shuffling after 2 rds.
12 player fams

just add:
no drafts at all
and no rejoining.where u land,u stay for the rest of that round..(just like in r/l deal with it)

most,just plain refuse  to play in a fam with players that they don't know or just dislike.thats also one of the reasons why ic is going down the tubes.

40 fams 12 peeps each, one vip draft and one friend draft, 20% less planets than last round, 2 month round, no wait on ops and attks.

The best leaders inspire by example. When that's not an option, brute intimidation works pretty well, too.
