We need 2 gals basicly....
a "modern" gal and a "old school" gal.
lets make capricorn the modern one and triangelum the old school one.
Capricorn rules should be as the current gals are and tris should be the same rules and gal sizies as during round 8 basicly.
To have so much systems that the expophase cant end before eor is pure stupidity and will make the game far less enjoyable.
The gals need to be setup in such a fashion that ephase last MAX 1/3 of the roundleanght.

atm it's 3200 systems. I think 2500 would be sufficient. We could do 50 fams again, I just think it would be better to see if we can fill

4 drafts in total is fine IMO.. and fams of 15 is already 3 more than now.. and I think that is plenty 
There should be no more than 40 families. 50 was too many.
I say push to it to 30 families with 15-20 players. Or 40 families with 12 players.
50 fams....15 players....i agree on 2500 planet size as with what nolio said
if ure gonna do 15 player fams then have 5 or 6 drafts tho....otherwise leave it at 12 man fams and go 4 drafts
30-50 fams with 15 players if you let too many players per fam itll be even easyer for organised fams... (you can say all people should organise... but everyone knows it doesnt happen , so when people land in inactive fams itll be impossible to fight back against higher fam)

I'm of the same opinion. Love how the round is almost over, and still lots of unexplored planets. But add another half month or month to make it better. We need a planet fat that takes forever to end!
1. no drafts
2. 40-50 fams 12 players
3. smaller gal
if there arent drafts, larger # of families will be fine as all the experienced players wont flock together forming families which in turn proceed to farm the smaller families with less experience. also if there are enough people having the vets spread out in a galaxy of upwards of 400 players will allow more newer people to learn from the ol' fellas, possibly giving ic a "new generation" of players who 1. are active, 2. dont suck, 3. have fun
same families.....no drafts.....10% decrease in galaxy size......same number of families and finally a bit longer round!!
if u dont want drafts...go to pw with the rest of the losers.
i put money into this game for a reason....so if u dont like drafts go to pw
keep the map size the same, it's good but either keep same total fams or cut down few, make the round longer, i want allow tri-alliance, keep it more fun

drafts have ruined ic steadily over the past few years.

are you kidding, why in the world would we lower # of ppl with this size of a galaxy? the round ends in 3 days...and there are still planets that havent been explored

lol. Most of the people who play IC at the moment *are* experienced players. If you don't have drafting, many experienced players will random into crappy, unorganised fams and then either:
1. Be semi-active all round
2. Be inactive all round
3. Get bored of IC and quit forever.
Having strong lower ranked fams is all well and good. I liked the way this round in Capricorn there was a very smooth planet distribution. It wasn't like the top 5 fams owned 70% of the planets int he gal. The top 29 fams had over 1000 planets (with the top only having a bit more than 3x that). However, since the experienced players were more distributed, it also meant that there were less challenging fams in the top 10.

bah, "most" ppl who play ic arent experienced at all. most people who post in forums and are known are experienced yes, but "most" ppl in ic dont come to the main forums.
true, less challenging fams in top 10, but round as a whole was much more even which makes it better for every1
Eh, 500 fams of 2 players each, 9 mill planets, and no atks for 900 ticks. LOL
Nah, size is ok. Fams ok. Only like 10 members in a fam. An, eh, dropping drafts would be good. I like playin random fams, and drafting just allows schooling. Drafting hurts those who dont have to hug a buddy.
