Avast Guys, Hornswaggle Breast Cancer is a seri'us threat among us today.  It's killin' thousands o' wenches each year with more bein' diagnosed with it constantly.  For me female IC players, I strongly advise ye guys t' do yer self checks each week t' make sure thin's be kosher an' if ye can, go with th' doctor an' have them take a look at ye an' find out more information on preventive tips an' such.

Aye, all th' lassies in me class all got a factsheet about how t' do a breast self-examination.  It spent a paragraph explainin' how "most lassies feel uncomfortable touchin' their breasts, an' 'tis natural t' feel inhibited an' 'dirty' when feelin' yer own body, but 'tis OK an' quite necessary fer medical purposes", which is th' biggest load o' bull I've e'er heard, pass the grog!  I think th' target audience must've been nuns or somethin'.  I personally have no nay ne'er met a lass who's been traumatised by touchin' that comely wench own breasts hmm

hmm.. being a breast cancer survivor I know how important it is to get check ups yearly and do your own checks... yeah it's not fun but neither is dying when breast cancer is one of the most curable cancers when caught early.

It strikes women younger and younger all the time. It doesn't care what race, religion or age you are and yes even men can get breast cancer so don't think you are immune although your chances are much less than a female.

October is breast cancer awareness month.. Oct 16th is Think Pink Day.. wear pink and tell a friend.. you just might save her life..check it out wink

but i really support breast cancer awareness.  My mom is a huge advocate of the pink ribon day and race for the cure.  last mothers day we were in the race for the cure at the Mall of America.  Its a very serious issue people have to deal with that a lot of people just dont think about.

Okay, I was too scared too ask this to the Citizenship Outside Speaker who was telling us about this: is the rumour true that if you have very large breasts you're more likely to get breast cancer, and, vice-versa, very flat-chested girls are less likely to get it?

The answer is it doesn't matter what size. Smaller doesn't mean less risk.

Breast cancer is real, and show be treated with respect. The size of your breast do not matter, all women should have annual mammograms and appropriate tests. The real problem occurs, because most of these examinations are only done 1-2 times per year, so each and every women is responsible to do self-examinations and choose the right course of action.

For males you should be checking your penis and scrotum for any lumps, and palpate it for any abnormality thats the proper way to check for any forms of carcinoma in your private areas.

Overall you should respect your health, as it's all you truly have and you don't get second chances.

Yep, size doesn't matter. Aside from the self checks and annual mammograms like Cloud mentioned, it's always good to find out whether there is a history of cancer in general in the family tree because it certainly does spread to each generation sad

My mum's best friend just found out her sister died of breast cancer sad
Her parents sound really distraught. No parent should have to see their child die before them.

Im sorry to hear about your mom's friend.
And yes no child should die before their parents no matter even if they are adult children.
There have been great strides in confronting breast cancer. More women are surviving from it, but now and then there is nothing that can be done. Possibly it was discovered too late. That is why early detection is the best cure.  That is why I am a big participant in Relay for Life and very active in promoting check ups in my work place .. this month I will be going to every woman there reminding them to get checked.
