German chancellor Schroeder on 2004 G7 summit allready said something needs to be done at the financial market.. something is wrong there and may turn out to be horribly wrong.
on 2007 G7 summit chancellor Merkel made a plan for more transparency and regulations at the finance market.. when it came to terms to do anything about it US goverment said "nope.. we wont do".

Penguin, I agree that people need to be held accountable. Unfortunately many people will lose their homes (what did they think would happen when they took loans out they couldn't pay. In order to recover, we need to do something to restore faith in the credit system.

Anyhoo, I'll clarify this one for you.

My problem isn't with politicians using reports. It's with politicians taking credit unto themselves for parroting what's in those reports. Or in this particular case, East crediting a politician for being the one to warn everyone, as well as implying that it was John McCain and John McCain alone who warned everyone, when really, it's the poor people who crunched the numbers, analyzed the situation and wrote the reports that should be given credit.

Most politicians aren't experts on various topics. But at one time or another, most of them claim to have come up with a solution or to have realized something drastic is going to happen if something isn't fixed...when really, they're just taking the ideas/plans/analysis  from someone else and claiming it as their own. It's aggravating...and immoral.

I said exactly what I meant to say. People may genuinely misinterpret it, but only because they're silly and see in shades of Black and White.
