Topic: McCain RAlly

I just got home from the McCain rally in Minnesota today.  It was an absolutely AMAZING experience!  I love what McCain is doing with his campaign, it is BRILLIANT.  not only is he looking good but he is also making Obama look like a duffus trying to cover his butt.  Palin and McCain both gave excellent speeches showing that they are the real candidates of change.

The Rally was a lot of fun.  I was so impressed at the sheer numbers of people who came out to support John McCain and Sarah Palin.  They were expecting 5,000 - 8,000 people but were pleasantly surprised when over 13,-000 people showed up.   we were packed into this hanger like sardines on a sunny day but it was worth it just to get a picture with Norm Coleman and Michelle Bachmann.  what a great day big_smile

Re: McCain RAlly

sure 13,000 isnt much compared to a rally held by obama in New york. but 13,000 is HUGE for McCain in a State like minnesota.  A state that hasnt voted for a republican for president since 1972.  Not to mention it was held in a suburban area where it is not so densely populated.  people came from all around to hear John McCain and Palin speak.

The real liar in this election is Obama.  He is nothing more than a hardcore liberal taking old politics and ideas that dont work and masquerading them around as change.  Now that another candidate is offering real change Obama doesnt know what to do except sweat and keep screaming like a school yard child "IT WAS MINE FIRST!!!!"

I think this video is funny.  Obama cant even tolerate people offering a "change" in perspective.

Re: McCain RAlly

LOL 13,000, Obama had 80,000 people show up in Portland Oregon, I don't think McCain could get that many people anywhere in the USA to show up smile

Re: McCain RAlly

Michelle Bachmann? Ewwww. She's my representative and I absolutely hate her. She's an active member of the ideologically driven camp of the Republican party. Anyhow, that's awesome you went there and had a good time smile.

PS: I consider myself mostly Republican, but I'm in the pragmatic camp parse. I can't stand the ideologues though.

Re: McCain RAlly

Soth...i really wanna know, what kind of change does McCain want, he has the same views and beliefs, and on some issues, his judgement is worse than Bush

really, this is what i want you to answer, What are the things McCain would've done differently in the last 8 years, that would've made a difference for ordinary americans?

Re: McCain RAlly

Wow thanks for the link.

I found dozens of Rallys where Obama was protested by his expectant masses!!!! Blacks against Obama, YAY!!!

Now with the current polling numbers, my knolwedge the media is shooting itself in the foot, and people are seeing through the zombies like Gladiator that we are going to see a McCain win about as BIG as the Reagan win versus Walter Mondale.

And Obama could not handle these events, each one of them he stuttered, broke up, was unable to decisively handle the event, and move on effectively.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Re: McCain RAlly

UMM LMFAO!!!!

McCain win? may i remind you, obama's leading in the electrol college vote right now, he's pulling ahead in almost all battleground polls
in some they are tied, Palin's fame is ABOLISHED
Obama's looking great on HIS turf - the economy - he's looking great, looking presidential, while McCain is spewing out hate instead of solutions
McCain's trying to use it for political reasons and trying to distance himself from Bush, and Obama countered him by going closer to Bush, and now McCain is DONE, he had to retrieve when he found out that the hate wasn't working
even his own campaign and his advisors and supporters acknowledged that McCain had a little trouble in the begining of the week

and oh are you forgeting the countless times McCain could not be heard because people were chanting obama
from diners to auto plants ... that's one case there tongue
and don't forget that the day McCain went to the GM auto plant, after doing his switcharoo on the meaning of fundamentals saying the hard workers were the economy
he went to the GM plant to his fundamentals of the economy(the workers) the workers he apparently loves, and he god booed out, with Obama08! chants in the back and just about everyone at the plant was wearing obama shirts, obama buttons and holding up obama signs

Re: McCain RAlly

McCain spreading the hate?

Obama is the one running ads in Spanish saying McCain is one with intolerance and insults

Mr Banana himself, racist?

I didn't know Obama had his brownshirts bust up McCain rallies, thanks for the headsup

Re: McCain RAlly

by spreading the hate i meant, going on an angry firing streak
it's what he would've done if he was president right now..he said so himself

"fire him, fire them, fire em all"

where as Obama AND Bush took things calm and relaxed, did not rush in taking harsh decisions, took things calm and slowly and took their steps with caution analyzing their moves, and Obama sat down with top economic people (for lack of a better term) so he could get the details on the situation, details on the problems, details on all the different solutions and details on the solutions in line with his views and beliefs

McCain later retraced his steps to do exactly what bush and obama did AGAIN

Re: McCain RAlly

ooo...posted this in general, but i think it fits better here

A mccain supporter came up to me on campus wednesday, we spoke for ohhh...5 minutes and he asked me if i would help post a few signs for him around the campus. i said sure why not, he handed me a stack of about 30 just regular 8x11 print offs and a roll of duct tape (which i still have and has already come in useful) i proceeded to pull a sharpie from my book bag, draw a mustache on mccain, draw a speech bubble reading "Wow, I'm sure one old stupid son of a bitch!" and posted on the tree right behind the guy i just talked to. and walked away.

i posted several other similar, (but less appropriate signs) around campus

of course the best part was it had the official stamp on the bottom saying "paid for my the john mccain fund" or whatever the hell its called

Re: McCain RAlly

You probably gained McCain more votes than leaving the sign alone and untampered with would have. This is because people are tired of the things liberal extremists like yourself are doing around this nation.

Right now I think people are more tired of conservative extremists. I know I am hmm

Re: McCain RAlly

im tired of the  candidates. you got Obama and McCain this time around; 1 with no experience and no qualifications for being president other then being black and being a good public speaker. the other being old, and incompetent. then you got Bush and Kerry last time around, i dont think anything needs to be said about those choices. the time before that was Dole and Clinton... it just shows you, this is what happen when you support a lack of competition, we only have 2 parties, so we got shit choices for president.

Re: McCain RAlly

you are too extreme avogadro.  we have more than 2 parties but all other third parties are extremist in there ideals and ideology so the majority of people dont like those people.  the two primary parties are not made up of people with uniform opinions and ideas but rather a mixture of people with the same core values.  everyone supports the idea of a third party winning the vote but there is currently no third party candidate that enough people acctually like.  So either way there is going to be a situation where someone doesnt like the candidate choices.  whether there are two large parties or a huge conglomeration of small party choices.  (which we have anyway)  so people like you will never be happy with the choices.

Re: McCain RAlly

3rd parties are unpopular because they're viewed as throwing your vote away because there is 0 chance of them winning. the two primary parties arent made of people with uniform opinions, but you dont vote for the party, you vote for the individual and theres only 2 individuals you can vote for that might make a difference. third parties are also vilified for splitting the votes and making the party that resembles them more loose. 3rd parties cant even advertise in order to gain support because supporters are limited in how much money they can use to support them and often dont make it on the ballet in most states.

Re: McCain RAlly

it shocks me..when people try to portray this "good public speaker" as a bad thing...

do we not realize, that being a good speaker to could really up our diplomatic skills, and give us other options than simply just invading every country we think can do us harm...

or is talking to over-rated for the world power?

Re: McCain RAlly

why should Chinese Germans Russians and And Arabs be moved by speeches in English?

Re: McCain RAlly

who said anything about giving them speeches...

all i'm saying is, a good public speaker, a motivational speaker, an insirational speaker, understands the impact that simple words can have
and the different diplomatic options open to you when you understand that bombs, guns, war, nukes aren't neccessary for removing possible threats..

Re: McCain RAlly

Diplomacy can be a less costly alternative to military conflict, on condition that your motives aren't mutually exclusive with one another. For example, perhaps you have a big power emerging that threatens both of your interests, and as a result you ally yourselves to create a balance of power. Or perhaps you are facing an opponent who has equal power as you do, and an act of aggression would be a risky gamble for the both of you, and so you both agree to make concessions to please each other.

But say you have a small power with no allies and it borders a great power. Lets also say that small power is rich with natural resources. Sadly, that small power is getting owned. It has no bargaining power at all, which is necessary in diplomacy.

As for many diplomatic problems in the world that the US faces, it's in America's best interest to be aggressive.

But the left-wing idea of diplomacy goes something like this:

Leftwinger: Can't we all just get along? Come on guys, lets stop the violence.
Opponent: Sure. We'll stop *acts all friendly*
*Opponent takes advantage of the Leftwingers incompetence in order to acquire a gain at their expense.

Re: McCain RAlly

Soth I'm sorry to disagree, but didn't you watch the speech Obama gave at the DNC? To the best of my knowledge he wasn't using a teleprompter and still kicked ass.
