Convert to the Israeli currency, they will not be taking a nose dive, and they are stable.
The last few days, th' dollar is actually gainin' on th' euro, although th' euro is more stable atm.
And lol at israeli currency.
Omg, tell me how to save the value of my money!
Einstein,
Lol really? Isreali currency? Lol?
what does "lol?" mean? does it mean ye're not sure if ye're laughin' out loud or not? Aarrr! if this is th' case, how can ye not know? ![]()
I think he meant " "lol"? Ahoy! " meanin', is Arnor right that Israeli currency is a joke?
If ye have th' pieces of eight t' worry about, buy a certificate o' deposit at a Swiss bank, I'll warrant ye. Or just shove it into US real estate, that's gonna go up o'er 10 years fer sure.
Or ye could have bought gold when it "fell" t' mid 700s, I'll warrant ye. And even th' Chinese got issues now. Aarrr, Dance the Hempen Jig Flint may just be on somethin' Isreal faces anialation all th' time, their currency will likely be stable regardless. And IA, did ye include th' take o'er o' Freddie an' Fannie, and dinna spare the whip! Those were huge an' now also on th' government's books. They be pretty much makin' up dubloons now an' that will eventually have both an inflationary countereffect an' fallin' value o' th' dollar. And Opec is kinda shortsighted, we'll keel-haul ye! If th' "world" powers economies collapse then they won't be buyin' oil. It is in their interest fer a fall in th' oil price t' attempt t' counter some o' these inflationary moves.
What th' heck is happenin' t' me text. I di'nae type that
its pirate day! arrrrrr
whats th' point o' buyin' gold t' avoid th' collapsin' dollar. Yaaarrrrr! You can't take gold nuggets t' McDonalds or pay rent in gold plates .
Readin' yer posts is still physically painful...
So, the safest alternative is to store all your cash in a shoe box. If the economy dives, prices with definitely drop, but your finances won't change ![]()
Yeah, that would be good... unless oil and food prices were expected to continue rising, which would help drive inflation, killing your finances.
Justinian.....seriously, why do you need to hedge vs. the Euro ?

Because it's one of the stronger currencies, and the dollar gonna dive.
So the question is how do I protect or increase the value of what I have?
Well, to be honest, if you have international exposure.....then you need to hedge.
I seriously doubt you need to back you dollars by purchasing Euros.
The Dollar vs. the Euro is STILL over valued, and at its low people were saying that it was more in line w/the dollar, but still over.
to hedge the dollar as if you are worried about Inflation, you buy commodities, and you can also short the dollar....if you feel it will fall in value.
Personally, I think.....and I could be wrong.....I think the way the markets reacted to the Federal saving of the financials.....that we have hit the bottom.
Stay tuned this week coming.

China is only making benefits at the expense of expedible labourers. Once that phase has gone, China's growth will be reduced heavily.
"I don't trust Euro."
Great motivation in financial decisions ![]()
