Well I myself am gay.  Because I say so.  So you can't say I'm not gay.  because if I say I am whatever I do then I'm really gay.  Even if I have hetero sex all my life I'm merely conflicted, a gay man living a lie.  There's no behavior that defines my gayness.  There's no gene behind it.  It's just me, at some point, saying I'm gay.  To say I could be talked out of that is not only ridiculous and quite silly, but offensive!

All sexuality is cultural, you're "hardwired" to bang a Toyota 4x4 and like it.  That you don't is "software" programmed into you.  If I'd got you early enough you'd be incapable of enjoying anything else.   But psychological ethics prevent us from "deprogramming" successfully.

im gonna have to agree with VNP; your sexuality is programmed into you by society. different cultures find different things attractive in a mate. one could argue that gayness is an anomaly that deprives the individual from certain happiness that could normally achieve through producing their own offspring with a loving wife and that the government has just as much place trying to rehabilitate gay people as they do psychopaths.

as for people who say McCain picked Palin to get the Hillary vote; thats just stupid. when picking a vice president, you're going to pick someone thats strong in demographics you're weak. McCain didnt pick her for one tiny group, Palin obviously polled strong against a wide range of demographics including women, and he's no more rediculous for picking a young women as Obama is for picky an old whitey.
