Re: McCain's top economic advisor says he doesn't understand economy

Haha, on the funny side this is said by someone who got fired from a company (which nowadays is firing tens of thousands.)

I am all-in on electrics.

Re: McCain's top economic advisor says he doesn't understand economy

I think her comments were taken out of context. She didn't say he doesn't understand economy. She said he (as well as all of the other candidates)  couldn't run a corporation. Then she emphasized running a corporation is different than running the country. Corporate fat cats have to focus on what is best for themselves and maximize profit. The president has to keep relations friendly or neutral while keeping the best interests of the rest of our country first in his mind.

Re: McCain's top economic advisor says he doesn't understand economy

Agreed with bladenosh.  The entire article is made to be about McCain, but that's not the point of Fiorina.  Fiorina was making the stark difference between running a Corporation and running a Country.  Fiorina didn't say McCain couldn't run a nation.  This is what I would call, "scraping the barrel."

Re: McCain's top economic advisor says he doesn't understand economy

what an awefully blatant twisting of her words indeed. To me she's pretty clear, are there actually ppl retarded enough to fall for this?

Re: McCain's top economic advisor says he doesn't understand economy

Um actually Obama did twist her words, his ads only played the quote where she said McCain couldn't run one.

Hewlett-Packard didn't like her leadership and gave her a golden parachute.

How much would Obama take to quit being President of the United States? big_smile  I think the Mexican valuation is aobut $8 billion

Re: McCain's top economic advisor says he doesn't understand economy

hehe, well i guess both sides play that game now smile American politics are pretty silly. People dont have the time or are too stupid/uninterested to find out anyways, so basically the votes are decided by misinformation anyways.

Re: McCain's top economic advisor says he doesn't understand economy

Have to reiterate what someone said before: she got fired, so SHE isn't qualified to run a company, so it follows she really isn't qualified to pass judgements on others' company-running prowess. Obama's bunch can't just go playign up the word of some random ex-corporate chick and call that 'evidence' of McCain's incompentence.

Re: McCain's top economic advisor says he doesn't understand economy

Obama is going to make the interests of other nations his priority, not the United States. Try to avoid that, and do not let the UN make taxes on the United States... they already have tried to make our payments to them increase for their 1000 to 1 dollar fixes (Read their fixes cost 1000 times what major construction persons have said they should cost, due to the huge graft at every level of the UN).

The US said no. It went on for a while.

UN finally backed down.

Obama wants to give them the right to tax us now, just say NObama!

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Well, ye have one candidate who's goin' t' make maties with th' enemies.  One who is goin' t' make more enemies.  There's not really much o' a middle ground tbh =p

Just depends on if ye like t' make naps or farm little families big_smile

Re: McCain's top economic advisor says he doesn't understand economy

McCain is not about makin' enemies.  Extremist Radical Islamists already declared us an enemy in th' 1980's, carried out attacks in th' 1990's an' in th' new century.

I dare say th' left would not recognize a war were bein' upon them until 50% o' them were dead, then they would ask "What did we do, how can we make our wrongs right" an' th' Hitler type would say "You were born", and a bucket o' chum.

Then th' left would finally convert t' th' right, but until then, well...  they will keep thinkin' evil scallywags can be made nice scallywags with just a few bribes, a few gestures o' peace, lettin' them kill just a few hundred, or even thousan' scallywags so long as it is o'er thar an' not here, an' maybe even some 1 on 1 time with th' President o' th' United States!

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

hehe that were bein' awesome in pirate language!

Still bs though ^^ Obama just doesn't want t' turn th' whole world against th' US like Bush did (an' as McSame will do).  Doesnt mean he won't act in US best interest.

WAITT, I forget, isn't it McCain who wants t' spend dubloons on Iraq an' iraqis, instead o' AMERICA an' AMERICANS?, yo ho, ho

an' second, dern't ye just LOVE all th' different terms republicans throw out thar, t' sound like they be smart,
like "Extremist Radical Islamists" i've seen some that ye could make a whole story out o' tongue
einstein, i hope fer yer sake, that ye know they just throw those in, t' make it sound more terryfyin', which could scare voters into believin' we have anythin' more t' worry about -- IN MY OPINION --this will likely not be shared by ye -- but in MY OPINION, thar is no threat t' th' united states, an' if someone says thar is, includin' obama, 'tis just a political thin'.., by Blackbeard's sword.  like i get so pissed when scallywags either live in fear or try t' make it sound like, somethin' terrible is about t' happen t' us, an' we can't step into sunshine

anyways big_smile Obama08 big_smile

Re: McCain's top economic advisor says he doesn't understand economy

I'm on the swing vote, and not too adament about either right now. I have my tufts with McCain, but this is about Obama. My main concern begins with US senate bill 2433 "The Global Poverty Act". This is a bill sponsored by Obama and co-sponsored by Biden which stretches to redistribute wealth globally. The bill outlines an action to be dictated by the United Nations in reducing those in the global population who sustain on $1 a day. This will be done by contributing .67% of our GDP (~88 billion dollars) a year, and giving the U.N. the power to increase this Global Poverty Tax on the United States. Keep in mind this is in addition to the $122.8 billion (2005) the United States normally hands out annually. This is planned to cancel the debt of the world's 18 poorest nations and increase half of those living on $1 to $2.

Gladiator, why do you ignore this fact even though you replied to it?  Obama SPONSORED this bill.  Now I am not sayin' this is reason to vote for McCain.  I simply argue that you are only focusin' on positive aspects of your candidate an' somewhat twistin' fact.
