The media is immensely powerful in mouldin' public opinion.  Extreme cases such as Nazi Germany an' th' hatred directed towards th' jews by normal scallywags is a good example o' this.  If a truly biased media can cause scallywags t' co-operate in irrational an' totally evil acts then surely if thar were bein' a really bad bias in any modern day news agency it would show in political results.  Ye'll be sleepin' with the fishes!  If thar is a claim that 75% o' th' USA's news is democrat biased then how would thar possibly just have been two terms o' republican presidency with th' current republican candidate margnially ahead in th' polls, by Davy Jones' locker?  If th' media were biased against th' republicans that really wouldn't be th' case!

well Newb, i personally feel that a news corporation shouldn't be biased, yes i like it when they talk thin's about Obama but 'tis outrageous when they make up thin's even i know be false about McCain,

but as a business student, an' someone who's lookin' at this from th' Media's perspective ...  they're doin' nothin' more than SELLING news, ye either want th' good thin's about democrats or good thin's about republicans
ye choose...  an' ye watch th' one ye want t' watch
if a media corporation, decided t' sell un-biased news, they wouldn't be in business too long, ye can go ahead an' try it fer yourself if ye like -- but scallywags dern't watch news t' decide whoose policy they think is better, they already have a candidate most o' th' times,

Mind ye, if I had th' dubloons an' trusted th' right scallywags t' delegate authority t' who would overlook th' fairness o' it all, then I'd do so even if I only made a modest profit instead o' an insane amount.


But as I said afore, 'tis pro-republicans who own all 4 major TV networks but they have 3 o' th' 4 directed by pro-democrats...like ye said, t' make dubloons as more important than tellin' th' truth.

That's cuz most o' th' ones who voted fer th' republicans dern't really watch th' news (mostly farmers or big corporation execs or Christians)
in comparison t' those who vote fer th' democrats.


See, media does have an effect on society but it usually takes constant drillin' into our brains without counter-drillin' from other sources t' change our beliefs.

This usually takes decades, Ya swabbie! 
Maybe many o' these folks aren't watchin' th' news much but rather just th' shows, All Hands Hoay!

Either way, just watch th' 4 major TV networks' news an' ye'll notice that 3 out o' th' 4 promote Democrat values an' only 1 promotes Republican values.

Though as I said before, all 4 be owned by pro-Republicans, though 3 o' th' 4 be directed by pro-Democrats.
