BW, when you I first started reading your post in politics forum, they some resemblance to a debate, and a degree of intelligent thought. Unfortunately, your posts have become nothing more than the outlets for the anger you feel towards politicians that you feel have wronged you, as you've shown by your posts in this thread. It's actually very sad to see.

Getting back on topic, I don't think the question should be whether he should resign or not, but what he should resign for? IF the trip was paid for by the State (which is acceptable because I assume the intent of the trip was for political purposes), the escort and other costs relating to the escort were paid for by himself, then why should he resign? No taxpayer money was spend for his personal enjoyment. But if indeed $4,300 came out of taxpayers money, then yes, he should resign.

Thats just my opinion looking at one angle of the argument. Remember, he hasn't been charged it, and when you think about it, only a few details have been released to the media. I'm holding out judgment until all the facts come out. But you also have to look at his history of anti-prostitution position. This could be seen as proof that he has double standards, and therefore can't be trusted.

Just trying to see the article from all sides here. I personally have little opinion in the matter. And has whether or not he resigns or is forced to resign, it has little impact on me, so I don't care too much either.

The man persecuted and put "johns" in jail, or had them fined outrageously. His previous position determines how we feel about this. Double standard at the least.

So, its ok for the TOP Executive of a state, the chief law enforcement official, to break the law, no matter what it is.   He can break the laws that he prosecuted to the fullest as the Attorney General of the state.  He can commit the crimes that he claimed to be a moral assault on New Yorkers.  He can mock the laws of morality, that he used to propel himself to public fame, and a ticket to the Governors office of the State of NEW YORK.

As long as he didnt use public funds.

Thats the difference between Leftists....and us conservatives.  We view Integrity, honesty and candor above all else.  There is no exception or forgiveness.  In a position of power and office you are EXPECTED to follow the rules and laws, to set an example for all.

1. Brought America Osama bin Laden
2. Crushed the terrorists
3. Turned the US bureaucracy in to an efficient military machine
4. Brought world peace
5. Effectively took care of America's illegal problem by means other than amnesty
6. Was all around good for America, and the economy drastically expanded and our taxes were lowered

You'd risk an idiot  to prosecute a talented and accomplished president who is good for America for what amounted to a misdemeanor?

Hell, plenty of people argue that it should be legal. And morality? Who cares as long as the job gets done.

Othervice I dunno really. Ofc a political leader shouldn't do anything like this since it's more or less political suicide, but if he was totaly great other then this he might be able to keep his job ofc.

She's hot! I would totally do her. However, here I can get an escort with her hots for like $500. But elite escorts like her are intelligent and well educated, in addition to being hot. Because of their conversational rarity, they demand higher premiums. The other thing is she's from New York. Here I can get an elite escort for $1,000.

On the other end, the street hookers that charge $50.00, I recommend nobody see them. It's wrong, they are exploited and coerced by pimps, and often they don't use protection. Middle ($200) to elite escorts are careful about that, and they're at least decent looking and often independent or work through an agency.

Regardless of that, you have to realize this operation preyed on the wealthy and famous. It was precisely people in the same kinds of people in positions of public responsibility, of considerable wealth, and under significant pressure, as Spitzer, who would opt for services such as these. The money is chump change to them, and the discrete nature of the business is worth paying the premium for. That's why they're not traveling in their black Suburbans with government plates picking up street walkers in DC.
