Topic: Challenge: Fastest strategy through Virgo

Hi there, I am not new to this game but due to some circumstances I have been forced to play in Virgo again. Now I am doing OK I guess but I have the feeling it can go much faster..

I think it would be nice if some of you could work on the fastest strategy to get through virgo possible!

Some rules apply though, Since virgo tutors may not use the market anymore I would like to exclude market use from the strategy and also no attacking of other players, just Your own empire and 9 exploration ships..

Put your maths and formulas to the test and make the fastest solo strategy through virgo ever smile

Rules for the fastest-solo-virgo strategy:
-----------------------------------------------
Standard starting resources
No market use
No aid from other players
No attacking to gain planets
Explored planets are all 200 size
Any race is allowed
Explore time from Home System is 4 weeks without speed (all future explorations can be done in same system)
Player that uses the strategy is active 24/7

The fastest strategy is the one that takes the least hours to get 10 planets, and the winner gets a pie.

I am almost through virgo now so I would have no profit on this strategy tongue
I just thought this would be a nice challenge for some people who like to make strategys smile

i done it in under 2 days..

Killed one of my fam members who has 6 planets down to 1.. i got his income for some ticks built 3 expos n sent em out tongue

Just make fleet!
people are to stupid to portal up anyway, wait till other explore and get their planets tongue

Rules for the fastest-solo-virgo strategy:

No attacking to gain planets

How about going CF all the way.

I'd have thought this is pretty simple.  Max out CF's with your starting infra, just leave enough reso's for 9 explos.  Your cash income will be 3k plus when these come in (play as revs).  Keep building explos till you got 9 of them, then send em all out together.

i can tell u it took me 3 days t' get thru virgo, simply play th' market fer 24hrs a day make all u can; an' also get ur leader t' give u little stuff t' use on market ; then build or eships an' send them out an' ur gone smile

A decent tutor checks players background and if he aint a multi I always used to pass them tongue

I did some quick calculations and think SS you can pull it off under 4 complete days (96 ticks). The race i would use is:

Name: virgosucksalot
Population growth: 50%
Income: 50%
Research: -30%
Attack: -30%
Magic: -30%
Speed: 100%

Spells
Find Target Planets
Space Amazement

Pop growth is maxed out to make the income of population increase faster. Offcourse income is maxed out. I think the SA will save you big bucks, still not sure about the oct investments you need to make for it. Speed eventually saves you 2 ticks for exploring. As a start i would begin with disbanding soldiers and agents (saves you 20 GC a tick).

Could anyone post the exact starting resources. I only focussed on GC for the quick calculations.

The way to calculate it imho is to draw an exponential growth curve of GC increase (GC / tick vs tick you are in). In that graph i would put in the number of ticks it would take to get enough gc for building 10 expo's and sending them out. This number added to the number of the tick you are in is your total virgo ticks. Graphed you get an inverted U shape.

If i have some time i think i'm gonna put this one in matlab and run a simulation smile
