How do suggest A pop banker keeps a low NW ? Pop makes NW, so theres no way to have big pop and low NW.
by staying with TO's and LQ's and keeping up with your research instead of taking a lot of planets.

wot makes a pop banker big is his pop, not his planets. most pop bankers dont get as many planets as cf bankers anyway, they also dont get ob as high, and yet they still have 3 or more time a cf banker's nw.
and obing only LQs? are you mad? LQs cost 10 more iron each than TOs. LQs should almost always come first and then ob TOs for the higher percentages.
as for cf banking, my advice is to start pure cfs, going to 50% that way, then ob 50-100% with rcs until you have 4-6k rcs (depending on how big you expect to be over the course of the round). after that build TOs on new planets and keep going with cfs above 100/150% ob. dont demolish those 4-6k rcs, they wont affect your ratios much but they will help to keep ur con and eco researches up if you're not funding becos of war or sumthing. after that stick with 75/25 of cf/to

how should research points be distributed? like what % in econ and what % in con?
i always go 70/30 econ/con as CF banker....
40/40/20 wel/econ/con as pop
Everybody is usin' different percentages dependin' on whats needed most, on a dead man's chest! After reachin' about 60/70% econ im goin' fer 60/40% on econ/con an' fund about 3/4 ticks research a day in order t' keep it steady. After demolishing RCs for TO jump i might even keep a few ks RCs since it wont affect CF/TO ratio much like Arch said.

that's what i were bein' sayin'... DUH, as a pop banker ye can make more with welfare, than buildin' LQ's an' TO's, as long as yer buildin' count stays at 200% more TO's than LQ's ye only have t' build research on welfare an' economy.

Cougar, welfare works by increasing the amount of pop that a LQ can hold.
e.g if you have 50% welfare your lqs can hold 750 pop each instead of the normal 500.
(it also allows base pop to increase but that is insignificant)
Welfare works in conjunction with LQs, It is useless without them.

is just nonsense 
I remember arguing this with you years ago when you wanted bankers in our fam to not build infra but just invest in welfare, even though they didnt have any LQs :S
