Name: Carl Reddington
Rank: General
Affiliation: United Earth Federation, Blacken Colonial Command
Bio:
One of the most decorated commanders of the United Earth Federation, Carl's story in the Blacken universe began after a quantum jump gone awry, sending him to a planet in what was then the middle of nowhere. He was able, with the technology available to him at the time, to construct a base from scratch; he used the resources of the planet to construct his starship, the Terranova, which he used to chart nearby space, looking for civilization.
During the year 2206, after responding to a distress call from the starship Heleriya, piloted by Commander Logan Grimnar, he became embroiled in the politics between the human remnants and the Kallum; soon afterwards, he traveled with Logan to the colony of Blacken. Soon, he was incorporated into the structure of the Blacken Colonial Command.
During this time, he was responsible for assisting with multiple strikes into Kallum territory, as well as guiding significant improvements to the Blacken colony's infrastructure, military, and defense.
In the year 2207, he guided the expansion of Blacken colonial territory, as well as the conquest of multiple worlds inside Kallum territory.
In the year 2208, he traveled across universes in the first jump across realities, reestablishing contact with the United Earth Federation, brokering a peace to end the Infinite War, and enlisting the help of the UEF, the Aeon Illuminate, and the Cybran Nation in the war effort against the Kallum. During this time, the Blacken Colonial Command also allied with the Talus Empire and the Cy'tan Federation. He was also one of the leaders of the assassination of the Kallum Emperor, which was successful despite major casualties.
In the following two years, he commanded part of the Unified Fleet to subdue the remnants of the Kallum Empire, as well as fight against the Unified Fleet's other enemies.
He is currently stationed in the system of Pennsylvania Nova, a star system inside former Kallum territory that now belongs to the Unified Fleet.
EEK!! What happened? I don't know where to begin now... I got a new computer so I'll be back up and running.
I'll summarize the events of the last few days.
Around 02/24, some hacker managed to execute a SQL query on the forums that replaced the content of all the posts with the word "test?". As the situation progressed, the messages became longer, eventually embedding a YouTube video in every post that had been made to date.
Around 02/26, Stefan took down the forums for "maintenance".
Around late 02/29 to early 03/01, we got these forums up. Unfortunately, for at least the second time in RP history, we lost absolutely everything we had been working on.
I wrote the prologue to S:T3S in anticipation of this disaster on 02/24 almost as soon as I noticed that the forums had been affected, as I had a feeling that they would not be able to restore the forums from backup.
Now, we are here.
Can I not be Zero anymore? As much as I liked the character I found developing it's character to be extremely difficult.
Nothing's stopping you from creating a new character. ![]()
Characters can be from anywhere, within reason, so long as they interact in the main story. Carl Reddington's backstory, for example, is inspired by the computer game Supreme Commander (which, for the record, is teh PWN).
Not to mention, back in The First Story before the reset, he had to cross universes before he could interact within the main story. ![]()
In that case:
Name: Krg
Rank: Commander
Race: Wardancer
Afilliation: UEF (Provisional)
Bio: The Wardancers were discovered at the edge of the galaxy by UEF forces during their war with the Kallum Empire, with the arrival of the UEF forces in ther home system turning the tide of the Wardancer's desperate battle for survival. So far all contact with the Wardancers has been via text and audio only, however that is about to change as the Wardancers have pledged their best newly created warships to the service of the UEF.
Despite the lack of real contact already some aspects of Wardancer culture raise questions as to wether their membership of the UEF will ever be more than provisional.
Name: Jeodan Deathsquad
Rank: Fleet Admiral
Race: Cy'tan
Affilliation: The great Alliance(GA) (i thought we could from now use GA to state alliance since we are with so many now.)
Bio: Their homeworld was detroyed, first thought to have been an experiment gone wrong, but later the Cy'tan found out it was the Kallum and a whole new crusdade effort was started to find out where their planets lay and to search for a new home. Thats when they found the UEF and Blacken. Their alliance rocky at first but now its people regularly visit the others city's, work is on the way to connect these cities.
i'll post more later.
Beaners, do refrain from ruining roleplays.
I wish I still had that Imperical Conflict story ![]()
Damn you, Red! I was planning a similar idea, only from a different race's perspective! Now I shall be forced to smite you with whatever weapons I roleplay to give myself!
Name: Garrus
Rank: High Admiral
Race: Talus
Affiliation: Talus Empire
Bio: One of the few Talus to survive the fall of the First Talus Empire. He became a close ally to the rising Kallum Emperor and was spared from the 'Cleansing', though he turned on them at the first chance to save his race. He fled to the system of Locus and began to rebuild his race. With the help of the enhanced breeding abilities the Talus became the leading member in the Locus Alliance and eventually took it over.
Soon after he expanded the New Talus Empire and stumbled upon the colony of Blacken. For the next two and a half years he waged a total war against the Kallum Empire, until it was obliterated like his old Empire. He is widely known for his actions during the assassination of the Kallum Emperor, while also known for being a possible enemy in the beginning of the war when he had a mind control chip still inside his head.
He has made several visits to Blacken and the UEF controlled areas over the past two years, but has been focusing elsewhere. The Talus Empire ahs grown by over ten fold and now he is turning his sights on a system far out in the depths of space, searching for something he made a promise to help find, and is using the entire Talus Empire to keep his word.

Well if it is a different race then what's the problem? If a fictional character can cross universes to join I don't see why they can't suddenly run in 2 new races ![]()
Hold it. I thought Garus was supposed to be our ally, or at least friend. Garrus's killing of Garus could lead to some tension later on ![]()
Garrus's plan all along was to get revenge upon Garus and the Kallum Emperor, esspecially when Garus ran from him after the Emperor was dead, and used droids to keep Garrus at bay. So it was true that Garus was a friend to the alliance as a whole, but not so much when it came down to specifically Garrus.
It may lead to tension, but then again most things Garrus has done did lead to tension. But Garrus's guests may be a gift enough to get everyone to settle back down. It was a mom and daughter right? couldn't remember if there was a son.
P.S. Is the alliance still formally together or did it basically disband after the fall of the Kallum Empire, because I know the Talus have had little exposure to the alliance since the assassination and fall of the Empire.
Yes, it was a mother and daughter. The Alliance remains formally together. Even if formally disbanded, many of the Alliance members would stick together anyway.
Garrus and garus, thats an amazing diffrance ![]()
note that you guys should have plenty of ships made from Cy'tan shipyards and with modified weapons and a special Cy'tan armour upgrade. But not all ships have this, only those you requested to be modiffied.
I would make some refrences to the matrioshka to preform a lot of your tech needs. Since it has been a great help in fighting Kallum hords of ships that we pounded while we advanced through their terretory.
Yes, almost every planet has a large fleet to protect against attacks. Ok, flash backs will detail what happened during the Assassination.
I want tensions between Wardancers and Cy'tan!:p We lay claim on most of the planets. Since we did shitloads of attacking.
And what about the rest of the UEF? What do they think of the Cy'Tan planet grabbing? Surely they would not simply sit and watch while a member grows so large it is a threat to itself?
Let us be honest, most of the galaxy in now empty, devoid of life, thanks to the Kallum, so if the Cy'Tan are trying to lay claim to most of the planets I.E most of the galaxy... well it won't just be the wardancers that will have a problem with that.
Also Wardancer needs are very different, the only contest over a planet would have to be intentional, caused by the Cy'Tan. Do you want to be an agressor?
Cy'tan arent really laying as it were claim, any member of the alliance can come in and move in within the Cy'tan cities, but they would most surley have trouble adapting to the Cy'Tanian communist ways.
Because of the long lifespan the Cy'Tan they dont really make babies, if they infact would be able to make babies. They make tube babies:p. There is not much need to expand their empire once they get settled.
Cy'Tan would only occupy the largest of planets(planets that would fit a homeworld ship). And since they now have established huge mining platforms in asteroid belts and other smaller planets their industry is satisfied. If we were to say Kallum controlled 100% planets, Cy'tan lays claim on 20% for homes and 10% for industry. Thats still 70% for the rest of the alliance.
But I think we should enter a new enemy, Kallum fleets that evaded the onslaught and create a new threat. They would be raiding parties that are as great as the first attack the Cy'Tan were involved.
I never recall saying that the Kallum simply evaporated into thin air. Undoubtedly, there are still packets of resistance loyal to the Emperor (and by packets, I'm talking about thousands of planets and some million starships EACH). Owing to simple distances, though, and the distribution of the Unified Fleet, the resistance cells are mostly under control.
This is what you get when you start talking on a galactic scale ![]()
And 30% is not "most of the planets". ![]()
Damn! I was going to have tensions between the Talus and the Wardancers... but maybe not if you want tension Arocalex. In a galxy there are trillions of systems with dozens of trillions of planets in each system... not even the Kallum Empire had spread that far, so there is still an abundance of life.
And the Cy'tan are not the only member of the Alliance expanding, the Talus Empire is being built up in an area relatively close to Blacken, where the original Talus homeworld resides. Locus (start out system of Garrus's forces) is on the border of the UEF and the Talus Empire <-- Just FYI.
But the punch line is, Arocalex is not the only person building an Empire here ![]()
Plus we have the Wraith, Kallum remanents and the other 'K' guys that I never remember how to spell so I'm not even going to waste my time butchering their name
, to fight with.
