Picking Palin IS a political move (a good one in my opinion).
Of course she is qualified, or at least qualified enough, they're not crazy.
This election is the top of the crop EVER in terms of political strategy, by its scope and budget.
I don't understand that many here act by judging things first degree instead of looking into the mecanisms.
Does anybody really think:
- that rep strategists believed the so-called scandals would not emerge?
- that rep strategists did not think about what would happen with today's media?
- that rep strategists did not believe it would play in their favour, profiling somebody unknown to immediate stardom and into the hearts of many undecided?
- that rep strategists did not dig enough into itenough to know that she would not only handle it well, but prove a natural force in dealing with it, the press and come out strong?
- that compared to alternatives, she has been chosen for NONE of the above or personality, but only on her record?
That's really thinking republicans strategists are stupid. And just as Obama's ones, I think we can safely say they're not.
I do think this has been expected, perfectly executed, and workin' right now.
And I do think that your conservatives mates and so many out there were not seduced by "her merit" (which we will know about, but so far is irrelevant it seems) but by the attacks - or simply by her positions.
