Topic: Wining and Dining in Brussels!

So I just came back from my holiday on the Isle of Terschelling and I'll be going to Brussels coming Wednesday. Now, I don't care much for city trips and such. I care for Shopping, Art and Food!

Now I've pretty much got the shopping and Art part covered but if any of you Belgians here have tips for places to go and eat in Brussels, preferably a place where it's possible to order in Dutch or English, that would be swell! tongue

(Have I written a similar topic before? I can't remember hmm )

Dutch won't be a problem in most cases (except when you go dining with recently immigrated people). You just have to be firm about it wink

I must advise against the Rue des Bouchers, it's quite expensive. I know a place, but it's quite out of the way of everywhere else... I'm willing to explain it though..

Anyhoo, here's the map. The green thing is the Rue des Bouchers, the blue circles are the places you should get your food.

I know they're quite large, but I only remember the location, not the exact spot. Now I'd defenatly advise you to take the one in the upper left corner, as it's in a better neighbourhood and it's nearer to the actual centre and very close to the area where people go out tongue

Cause it's so French? I must say I have my reservations about that as well, seeing as I don't know much of that language. My knowledge is limited to Bonjour madame / monsieur parlez vous Anglais? / Je ne comprend pas (:() tongue

Not at all. It's in the very centre, I added it to the map, just make sure you don't walk past it, it's a terribly narrow street.
You'll spend about 70 to 80 EUR for food there though (with an entr

Well personally I wanted to go Antwerp/Gent, but my girlfriend insisted on seeing a statue of a little boy taking a piss in public.;) But I know where you're coming from, I dislike going to Amsterdam. tongue

While you're in the Rue des Bouchers, you can see "Jeanneke Pis" as well. It's on a little dead end of that street.
