Topic: The New Runescape

Have you guys seen the new runescape? It has much better graphics so its alright for your eyes to look at it for more than 15 minutes without taking any damage big_smile I might start playing it again. Runescape has one thing that no other MMORPG has. It has a very large economy where you can make and sell just about everything to other people. So a part of the gameplay is also about making money and i like that more than doing quests and fighting other people all the time. I would rather make money and buy the armor to give myself an advantage when i fight others.

I might start playing it again. I think if any of you are interested in those things like i am you should try it too. my name is Grenadier321

I played RS for a while i never really got in to it though.

But still a true player controlled market.  Eve owns all.  And Death is death.  No pay 2 gold pieces and ur back to full strenght.  Boom big explosion ur dead.

Runescape ended when the programmers decided to devote vast amounts of time and energy to stop real world trading. I prefer WoW now because very second or third new update isn't about stopping it. And the measures they took to stop RW trading were ridiculous, such as trade barriers, and removing Player Killing as it was, and turning it into a warped minigame.

Runescape looks good but jagex took the heart and soul out of the game.  they are trying to control the economy of the game and restrict the one thing that made it a great game regardless of graphics, free will.  players can no longer go into the wild and kill another player. you can even give another player a gift or freebie it has become very socialized and just another stupid online game.

agreed. The graphics and animations did not make the game great but its economy. I didnt know you cant kill people in wilderness anymore
