I mean we are ranked 17th, but in size we are 9th in ntw 12th. Ok I understand it has to do with players in fam and we had alot of deletes cause most noobs enter look at rankings and think, oh we can do better then a 17th ranked family 
.
So it prevents you from going up in ranks. Or am I missing the whole point here.

you are ranked 9th in size 12th in nw but how long were you at those ranks. And the deletes are also affecting your progress towards increasing your score cause you're not really moving up, you're just more or less staying stagnant.

You need to stay up for a while to go up in score-rank, because of the fact that is multiplies by a number from the ticks that have passed in the round. Because of that EOR jumps or really really late EOR wars will have less effect and so the midround will have more importance then before.

its imlemented so people can see who is the real winner over a holy round, not that someone wins, cuz they took all ps from their alies at last tick or saved for a eor jump.
this a way to show the real winners from the lousy ones.
if a small fam with 6 players play well together and have great infra/size they'll never able to compete with 12 player lousy fam
so this showing real winners isn't true at all
if a small fam with 6 player play well they won't win in total size or NW either, no scoring system would show them winner.

Like Elrohir said in the other thread concerning this subject. Don't see it as "The ultimate" ranking. Its just another ranking system.
size - which family is best family this round
score - which family had best overall infra/nw
NW - which family had best eor jump
In the end, its all about Size

6 Player fam can't win indeed. Do you only go for gold with 6 players or do you go for bronze? After all your success with a family shows what your made of, if a family exists out of 4 people or 20, it doesn't matter.

the whole idea of score is that you earn it in the long run. that way you can't win by jumping at eor.. because you need to earn it by staying at 1 spot for a long time ....

A new ranking system is cool, I started reading forums last round again and idiots finishing 5th in size and doing a big eor jump were claiming victory. I thought n00bs were running ic now.
The few problems i see with the ranking system is how losing somoene will negativly effect your ranking and if u beat a top fam or the #1 fam with 2 weeks left in a big war and u still arent higher ranked then they are after that war then this ranking system sucks and will never be accepted.
Of course when u get into the war with the fam ranked higher then u and u win, what will happen is a big rape of planets till the winning fam is ranked higher and no doubt this will happen to alot of fams throughout the rounds.
Nothing is perfect, but for sure the losing players in a fam should be fixed asap after round.
It will be nice to see a true ranking though. All those fams at eor raping small fams for size and claiming victory wont anymore without going against the big fams and all those fams saving for eor jump wont be able to anymore.

well agreed nolio, but we never were ranked under 15th place both in size and ntw. Now we are 8th in ntw and 9th in size. But still 17th in score, so if a guy joins watches ranks he says bah I'm in a crap fam unknowing true ranks. And then deltetes, we had 3 inactives, 1 guy that stayed 10 minutes before he deleted. So that makes sure we can't win the round anymore?

We were Number 1 in size, number 2 in NW for quiet some time. Then killed off 4 players who had not logged in once since start of round and dropped to 20th Score, even though we were 2-3 in the other categories. 
y not just average out all ranks to find the winner overall and let top fam in each category claim a smaller victory like winning the big cup compared to winning a conference or division
score - ironman award
nw - economy award
size - most warlike award
combination - ic cup
with just 2 ranks averaging wouldn't do a whole lot but with 3 it should be decent at showing who was best overall at eco, attacking and keeping pace
This is the problem with ic these days. There should only be 1 winner and not 2 or 3 and if u all wared more instead of maken big cores with big naps and the big fams avoiding each other then their wouldnt be a problem.
New ranking system is a good step, but whoever came up with the idea to have players being removed hurting your rank then that shows what a moron that person or persons are. Fix it after the round

there would be one winner there is only one grey cup winner, one stanley cup winner and so on but there are also other awards given out in those would u say they have no clear winner at the end of a sports season?
i agree with PP just because some idiot leaves your family or you have to kill him/her for inactivity... that should not effect your score.
and to be truthful the attack scores should be on an individual basis, but thus contributing for the family score, but also determine the best attacker by individual score at the end.
