Topic: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

...Hickory dickory dock!

Hi all!  I haven't posted here in quite awhile.  What's up?  How's it all goooooiing?  This isn't a community thread because it pertains to the roleplay in that I was wondering how this forum was working out?  I noticed a slight rise in activity, which is good, and good etiquette (for the most part) smile.  Awesome!

So, what's new in RP?

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

Lies Fokky, I don't have a life and I'm insulted that you'd suggest otherwise.

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

Reading the first post of Fokker's story earlier today made me eager to continue my epic (or so I planned it to turn out) space-based story, originally enough having the working title "Space Story".

I'd just like to curse at you for this, Fokker, for this means frustration when I'm stuck again tongue I knew I put myself up for too much trouble with the way I'm writing it... So fdgkl,zldsjgeflmosi^prhgkrhpbfdshrt+h12+dsegerplbvgk,lf YOU, FOKKER! X(

Anyway, ARF is sex and I'm tired!

I'll never know if it was worth the pain, but I still loved it more than anything in the world - it was my life.

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

I am not sorry, I stand defiant, head held high, knowing that my example has encouraged activity... But if it is any consolation I am suffering a major writers block right now. sad

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

Join the club. I'm only in the very first chapter and already having trouble.
Thing is, my main character will be the key character in many conflicts over many centuries in the story and I have to lay a lot of ground work in the first chapter already.

Suffice to say, it sucks tongue

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

Gah I've seem to think up general premises for stories but never like a full-length storyline.

It's hard to come up with original fantasy/sci-fi and avoid clich

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

Surprisingly, I agree with ARFeh's second sentence.  I can't remember the last time I've agreed with him on anything.

I started writing a story about the KK a few months back...dropped it after schoolwork piled on.  I then tried to write a short story of a battle that took place in Zaroth, after the events of TDoB.  I couldn't finish that either. :\

Anyways, what happened to FMod, Eltie?

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

KK? TDoB? Zaroth? I'm so confused...

Yeah I've floated around on ideas but I found a solid one. I'm actually writing a whole book, perhaps a sequel if I ever finish number 1.

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

Awww, sorry Salamandastron.  KK stands for Kamoku Kumori.  They were my character-created faction in Mobile Suit Wars II - V (or was it IV?).  I had written a short story of their return to the Sol - Centauri - Orion systems.

TDoB stands for the Dance of Blood.  Inspiration came from "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.  Zaroth was the name of the land in TDoB.  It was, perhaps, the first serious multi-paragraph RP that contained a massive map and statistics for each faction.

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

Heh, I still have my character of the second incarnation of TDoB I believe it was. I intend to keep him and merge the storyline with another one (Chronicles of a Broken Dream ring a bell?). I once intended to write a storyline in the Lost Tome setting, but that too kind of stopped.

Secondly, funny how you're still always going "oh, how strange, I agree with ARF".

Thirdly, I quit as fmod tongue

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

I wanted to write a story about my character from The Zarine =/

And finish off the Art of War...

*sigh*

Re: Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...

Busy-time = 9-months long.  Good luck with that...
