Topic: Pervez Musharaf Resigns...
Yep the dictator turned president of Pakistan, a country considered to be america's "ally" and who america gives billions of dollars to fight "the war against terrorism:, and has continued those funds, the lone american ally, the dictator who swore never to give up has resigned due to mounted pressure from HIS supporters, and the coalition government...
I'm sure bush and rice are sitting somewhere, mad, cuz the guy they took so much time to make their "bitch"[i hate to say it, but it's true"] has resigned. Now, again the new elected president atleast for a couple of years shouldn't have such a good relation with America, especially since the leaders have already promised not to, and them doing so could result in their downfall as well since an alliance with America is so highly looked down upon in Pakistan.
My questions is, how do you guys think this will play out? Pakistan hasn't really done much in the past, and will probably do less now, however the fund from america are still INCREDIBLY high.. the new president will probably talk smack to america
, like he probably should
but how do you guys think this will effect the presedential race if it will at all. McCain has already stated plain and clear Pakistan is a BIG ally, and he is proud of them really ![]()
Obama if elected would probably cut the funds, as he actually sees no result from the funds. Plus the tribal areas are so unstable and complicated even if anyone wanted to do anything, it's very tough to do so, especially since half the politicians with any say have ties with the tribal areas which are thought to be home to al-qaeda. The american troops can't really do anything about them either, unless bush wants to flip on his relations with pakistan, which i don't see happening as it might cost the republicans dearly...
Anyways a bad situation has just been turned worse, maybe most of all hurting McCain's chances a little too, as he is left with little room to play..
what do you guys think?
