They're all biased. Terribly. If you watch the news to do any thing more than "find out the story exists" (possibly) - you're making  a mistake

Gladiator - as to your post.  Even consider the potential agency issues with believing one news agency calling another on foul play?  I won't tell you they are lying, or exaggerating, or spot on - but one does a LOT of assuming if you just accept the story.  Seems to be a constant issue in America really - we accept what we want to hear as being true instead of finding the truth and changing our beliefs to follow it... :-p

Pfft, European news isn't any better. The propaganda and leftist views of the European news agencies goes largely unnoticed because in Western Europe Leftist propaganda starts at school.. As for media bias, I think we are all forgetting about the elitists, and in particular the leftist elitists, those leftist media elitists just ruin my day, every day. I think it's important at times like this we all make unfounded statements involving words and phrases which actually don't mean anything, that's where the phrase leftist media elitist comes in. It's the best one, especially because we get the morpheme "ist" in so often. That's one of those sounds we stick on the ends of words in the hope that it is the correct ending, and if no one has ever heard that word before for example "leftist" it's ok, we can just repeat it ad infinitum until people get used to it and stop questioning it. The phrase "leftist media elitist" is clearly the most appropriate here. That's because it's the bestist phraseist there isist.

The world is lucky that it has me, yes.

Courses like history, economics and culture  are places where kids get taught a slanted view on things. Teachers always give their opinions on subjects and textbooks of those classes do tend to conform to the views of the ruling goverments of the time. Have enough left goverment in a row and you'll get leftist impressions on textbooks.

If you are correct then surely it works the other way in that right wing governments in power produces right wing media? In the UK we have had a centre ground party in power for 11 years, and before that a right wing party in power for 15 years, so how would our news be slanted? And if it is slanted to the left like you suggest (UK is after all in Europe) then how exactly did that happen? The next election in the UK is almost certainly going to be won by the Conservative party. How would the right wing Sarkozy have been elected in France ahead of his socialist rival Royal? How would Berlusconi have been such a dominating figure of Italian politics for the past, well, forever? Angela Merkel is the centre right chancellor of Germany. Europe is not completely left wing, and there clearly isn't a problematic left wing bias in European education or media because if there was the right wing would not have a chance.
