Re: Russian troops to invade georgia

>>Who supported an invasion? I only see self-defense and the defense of the two areas in question. Neither wants to be apart of Georgia, and Georgia was stupid to try military action.<<

Ah, "defense" of two areas which are still not independent, only being dependent on Moscow is so much more permanent.

>>America could take on Russia but do you want a nuclear war?<<

Acceptable.  Nuclear war is preferrable to many global systems.  That's why we have them.

>>ok well just make sure if you have a 100% way of making sure the war stays conventional. the slightest slip-up & thank you America for sending the world back to the stone age.<<

...or else what?  "America you turned the Earth to a glass desert--you're out of FIFA!"

>>Why? So you can spend 99 years aiming weapons at someone you are too afraid to attack? <<

Not me,  I'd bomb on them today.  Shaaksvili said the airbase and port we use for aid shipments would be under US military control and Bush said "Hell no."  Mustn't derail Munich II, you know.

>>So...Russia cant keep the peace right next door, but the U.S. is allowed to travel right around the world? Yeah, right.<<

Yup. Because we kill people who stop us.  Or used to, in the good old days.

>>What would have the U.N. done? Nothing. They are useless.

So for the same reason the U.S. attack Iraq, Russia stomped on Georgia.<<
Only Russia isn't the US, so it should be stomped in turn.

>Yes because the US has never, ever supported rogue groups in sovereign nations, nope not once.<<

so, Anything Goes? Or you're just enemies of the United States, too?

>>Russia now IS stronger than Georgia. And since Georgia gets no help, Russia stays stronger. Thus, the claim the Russians make is as legitimate as the claim the EU and the US made when separating Kosovo. You could nearly say that Russia is creating an alternative intervening peace-force, since a lot of people no longer like the aid of the US in gaining independence (or, sometimes, EU) as they tend to be picky and stick around too long. I can also see China joining the club as it has also certain provinces who would like independence...<<

Apparently Serbia won't renounce Kosovar genocide though, making it somewhat hard to reunite them, and Kosovo nor Serbia were remade into US territories.
In any event, it is not for a two-bit backward culture like Russia to presume the privileges of a first-class power like the US, and Bush is a dweeb for forgetting that.

>>yeah and those stupid frence that helped the usa to get independence... hell that was against international law! the whole fight against england was againts international law... evil teorists
reunited the us with england asap <<

France declared war on the UK at that time and helped us as an act of war.  Which is what I want, a war with Russia if they don't surrender.

>>If our fleet moves toward Russia, it would be stupid for Taiwan to not surrender.<<

With this crew, the fleet would just take photos and warn them they'd risked their privileges in the NWO.

> Dont you see the EXTREME hyprocracy ??

Not really. I am neither American or Russian, and dont support eithers government. I do NOT support this war, just like i didn't support Iraq.
I *do* support the soldiers (Both Russian and Georgian), as well as the civilians caught up in the middle of it (indirectly and directly).

Please tell me how im a hypocrite? Because i stated that the U.S. wont do anything? Or because i said good for them (Russia)? You *really* need to get away from this with-us-or-against-us mentality. Its an ugly sight.

BW criticized Russia for supporting a rogue group, I chose to say something in response that seemed slightly more witty then "That's the pot calling the kettle black."

It isn't right for either nation to do it but the US is not in any position to point fingers on the issue.

Ok, so from your last statement I guess you are Chinese and in "mainland" China.  I was originally responding to your "no internal" conflict thing but yeah... that' bull and either u know it or you've been drinking the lemonade.  China has alot of internal conflicts, for one the "peacful" Tibetians aren't so peacful.  All those homes destroyed?  Yeah they must love moving.  And also there is a huge skew in male to female ratio... you just wait until all those mid 30 year olds have nothing to do.

So your saying that if China were to invade Taiwan, that the U.S. wouldnt intervene?

If you say yes, you are being hypocritical.

Re: Russian troops to invade georgia

@Question, I must have completely missed your post. Between my first post in the thread and this post, I only see one of your posts.

If you're somehow talking about this "If our fleet moves toward Russia, it would be stupid for Taiwan to not surrender," then know that "our fleet" means the United States Pacific fleet moving north to the Russian far east, leaving Taiwan vulnerable for a PRC takeover. This was in response to the Yell's belief that Taiwan would get bombed to birdie land should we war Russia.

Re: Russian troops to invade georgia

You boneheads think RUSSIA will start launching Nuclear weaps ??

Putin is a bully.  He is not stupid or suicidal.

He knows there are a bunch of Spineless asses in Europe (Not including the UK of course).

But, the French or Germans (The rest of you little Pee Wee states, called nations dont count)   hehe.......  They wont do a thing.

It does lead to what the US can do, and what Russia can do to defend itself.
The US can do what ever it wants.  The Russian military has no prayer vs. US weapon systems.

What can Russia do ??  Nothing offensive.  Therefore they are on defence.

Tactically speaking....thats a commanders dream.  Making a foe react is perfect.

Russia is a big baby state, that is a shell of its formerly nothing status.
Czarist Russia, Soviet Russia and Putin's Russia are all the same.....a bullshit bully state w/no real clout.

I really was trying to be objective and give Russia the benefit of the doubt.   But, now ??
Forget it.  I say they need a spanking.  If only to show Turkey, they can count on the US....even when they left us hanging with the initial attack on Iraq.

Come .......joust w/the master.

Re: Russian troops to invade georgia

the UK is spineless hanging onto the coat-tails of the US. what has the UK done about Russia?- apart from 'expressing serious concern' over the conflict & cancelling a training op with the Russian navy.

& if taking on Russia is as easy & as risk free as you claim it is why hasnt the USA taken them on?

That only works if no one in Turkey has ever read a history book.  Historically the only people who can count on the US is the US, not saying there's anything wrong with that but that's the way it is.  The US has shown it will not act unless there is a direct or indirect benefit to them.

WWI - US stayed out until they were attacked despite the requests of their allies for assistance,

WWII - US stayed out until they were attacked despite the Global threat the Axis (Nazi Germany in particular) posed,

Korean War - US only got involved to stop the spread of Communism which it viewed as a threat,

Vietnam - See Korean War,

Gulf War - Could be argued as the US not acting solely for the benefit of the US however it is important to note this was a UN initiative so it is impossible to know one way or another if the US would have gotten involved on its own,

Afghan War - Response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks,

Iraq War - eliminating a potential threat as well as cleaning up a black mark on the US reputation.

As I said nothing wrong with this position but it certainly doesn't inspire confidence in the dependability of US assisstance.

"& if taking on Russia is as easy & as risk free as you claim it is why hasnt the USA taken them on?"

Because no one who's tried has ever succeeded.  Russia is a large country with harsh winters so unless you can wipe out the majority of resistance in 9 months you're going to run into the problems every other army that's tried has; inavailability of supplies and a harsh climate the enemy is infinitely more familliar with.

Re: Russian troops to invade georgia

You all talk about turkey.. are you aware that turkey is in a shitty situation now?
goverment party being forbidden because they want to turn turkey into an islamic state.
may happen to be lots of trouble in turkey soon.

and no, the US never supported any dissidents or rogue groups.. never EVER.. lol

but bw u know what.. in the end russia and the US both do a lot of shit..
the problem why i get not that mad about russia is that they do not pretend to be so good guys and save the world.
they do not make up lies they sell in the security council.
they do not make fun of their allies by expecting them to believe the lies.
they just send troops there and action.

do you think you woul dhave that much negative support in iraq if you would have played with open cards in the beginning?

you still don

Re: Russian troops to invade georgia

yup, and apart from the western part "bombing the hell out of them", the usual American tactic doesn't work there.

"Russia is a big baby state, that is a shell of its formerly nothing status.
Czarist Russia, Soviet Russia and Putin's Russia are all the same.....a bullshit bully state w/no real clout."

Russians probably have inferior weapons, but they do have nuclear bombs, and only a few of them are enough to cause a catastrophe.

Yes, and with that knowledge we should just let them do as they please? In that case, I'm going to petition for a Royal Dutch nuclear weapons programme!

Ooh, i agree with that 100%. I would have supported removing Saddam -- if thats what the U.S. had said it was doing. Instead they gave some Cock 'n Bull story about Weapons of Mass Destruction (Which didnt turn up, and if they did would have been American funded anyway)...

Not at all, shutting them out of economic deals would do them far more harm, but it takes time. This is exactly how the first cold war ended.
