Topic: Moderators....Lets begin anew.

I like the post by the mod.

Im hoping that CONTENT and CONTEXT will not be altered as was done in the past.

It is by far the most egregious offence by supposed "Moderators" in the IC Political Forum.


Can you all put in a vulgarity filter ??  .... although, I must admit, there are ways to avoid the filter.



Just dont change the intent of the post.  Just some *** in place of the vulgarity, and a warning to keep it free of vulgarities.

You can effectively bash someone w/o the colorful metaphores ..... 'Ole BW has a way w/words  roll  mad

As a point sort on topic, i have always enjoyed the mods fun ways of editing out swears.... I wish they to continue...  normal intelligent people can see where a mod has changed a swear and thus know what the orginal intent of a sentance was...

I thread when we first got back.

The so called MODERATORS in there Zeal to EDIT take sides....and then loose their ability to "MODERATE."


I was banned for first 48 hours, then 72 hours for using "DUMBASS" in someones name....and w/o warning.


DUMBASS ?    On this forum ??
THAT is a bannable offence........so over the top ??


I believe NOLIO should loose the ability to BAN people from the Forum.

Obviously, he has compromised his ability to MODERATE, and has lost his credibility.
This should be taken into consideration.

surprisingly i've never been banned. when moderators edit my posts to change intent, i edit back, and they warn me, but i do it anyways, tell me where in the forum rules it says you cant edit your posts after a mod has?

Its commen sense i think. And the rules do say that you should refrain from childish behavior. This could mean anything and so it is left to the mods to decide what it means and how far they are willing to take it. These rules are not a law book and in no way should they be seen like it. You must not at by the letter but by the mind.

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

I call Decimus,  DUMBASSIMUS when on the very rare occasion I even bother responding to his idiocy

SO, ......  Nolio banned me.  I didnt know who it was or why I got banned.

But, shortly after I returned, I find a dumbass post that I had to answer,.....SO, I wrote:

@ Dumbassimus..........

I was immediatly banned after that.

the reason ??

ROFL.....this is priceless.

When I logged in, it said to this effect....

forum ban, Dumbassimus Harassment.........  ROFL....that was almost worthy of the ban.



When I went to mIRC, I spoke to another Mod. (I will leave the name out for now).

I was told that my ban wasnt even posted for the Mods......and found out it was Nolio.....I assume it was Nolio both times.



Now.....fellas......please.   DUMBASS ??   especially for DECIMUS ??

Is there any other individual more crude and rude in the "wanna be" IT mold ?


AS to banning....yea.  Most of the time, its a warning.

As to editing......atrocious.  Especially in a politics forum, you gotta be clean.

Decimus whines to the mods whenever you dont play nice with him; probably the closest i've ever gotten to getting banned was him whining to the mods over a thread i made that was almost identical to a thread he made, except i substituted Decimus where he said americans. the mods closed my thread and not his and called mine harassment.

BW you have been warned about the harassment in this case and in many other cases. Even if you were to do something now, I don't feel the need to warn you as you have common sense and know the rules.

Decimus, despite his usual behavior, is allowed to complain to the mods about being harassed just like you are in the event of someone harassing you. Now why wasn't it posted in the mod forum? I was busy and frankly it was irrelevant. The bans are all logged anyways.

BW, if you harass someone and it is deemed to be consistent, over the top and/or , plain and simple, you will be banned immediately for a minimum 48hours. Just because it's politics forum doesn't mean that you have the privelege to harass and use profanity to a major degree like a lot of politics posters seem to do. Not saying all applies to you but it's a general statement.
