Topic: Political Idol discussion thread

Thought this may be of some use - for people outside of the competition to discuss aspects of the arguements proposed, and the very different, intelligent and entertaining attitude in the competition, compared to stereotypical politics-board rants smile That last clause, in effect was my first thought after reading the BW vs Question thread.

I think it would be prudent for others to try to stay out of the discussion until each contestant has completed their competition.

W/O specifically commenting on the discussion itself, I would think its ok.

and then leave the analysis of the debate until after the final posts of the contestants.

That was some hard reading.  I have a problem picking who was the bigger looser.

Well since Skoe aint posted yet, there is no basis for an opinion sad

I think I came out quite the slugger however, and really am waiting for the reply tongue

I agree that The Yell and Justinian I are having a severe fight, very thoughtful. but when is the next posting phase by them?

Pauls... they both started to weak, hope to see them increase that firepower.

You_Fool came off weakly presenting his argument, but Freelancer did not push his advantages. Plus the use of links... I dunno... I am a politician now, perhaps I am stuck that debating should not include links, but show your own skill and knowledge.

I need to extend the debate, cuz I have been doing papers the past few days. It will be over tomorrow.

Yeah I have been able to post things on my breaks, but with a lack of sleep and all my focus on my papers it's difficult to make a thoughtful worthy for a debate w/ Yell.

Sorry. I can't help that my profs like to hit me with papers and books to read this week.

And sorry again for Yell, who has to keep waiting.

yeah we both have that problem.  I lucked out being somewhat coherent.

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.
