Re: Code of Honour | Poll

thats the problem nowadays though.. families seem to find ways where a vague situation is abused to hide their dishonourable crap..

nice idea Nolio, about the lines I was thinking smile

Re: Code of Honour | Poll

Its a nice concept, but when presented with a choice of gaining the upper hand in NW and planets by taking an opportunity that may not be honorable - most planet hungry Solar Warriors are gonna snatch that opportunity right away.
Its war wink , you must be prepared to growl and bite and play the dog.
Personally i think honour is a novel concept now but all too vague to be enforced. Although being sneaky and dishonorable may gain in the short term rankings - its not going to win you many friends in the long term, and things may not work out in later, in subsequent rounds if players hold grudges? big_smile

Re: Code of Honour | Poll

you will never have honor - there are to many cry babies that cry cry in forum to make fams look bad - unless every fam can see every fams fam news around attacks you can never trust a pm like ' lay off the attacks i got loads of people hitting us' people lie to stop better people killing them - if that is what honer is (protection for losers) then its crap...

Re: Code of Honour | Poll

Um guys...

Honour is your own thoughts on morality. Morality is an unspoken set of rules to which society acts.
Creating and forcing an 'Honour Code' isnt morality. Its law.

And adding laws (rules) will only remove the remaining flexability this game has. As TYMO states, there will always be the complainers.

Re: Code of Honour | Poll

Eh, Darkest One, that is damn different from you doing it alone, and your entire fam doing it.

I see some honour in your actions as described. But I see dishonour in two or more of your fam working together to do it. One atker, against a whole fam, is something I would do (and have done)

75% of all players in IC have hemorroids,

the other 25% are perfect assholes.

IA's in SD often seemed to turn into just 2 big alliances...

Re: Code of Honour | Poll

i still think a tool like a tick countdown on relations page would be a good idea.
instead of just putting in fam number in the box to officially nap there should be another box to add how many ticks your agreeing to before you can cancel nap and attack.
then it can show up in a war thread created in uni with tick countdown.
this would also be helpful as others would be able to see it and avoid being called a vulture.

it would look like this.....

relations page

we have signed a non aggression pact with fam [666] and it will take [48 ] ticks after nap is cancelled to attack.

then in a nap/war thread in uni created by mods it would read who is cancelling nap and going to war.
