Eh, I was just offering up an IDEA!, lol.  My favourite suggested prize was the instant fame one.  (your name attached to your tip)

I do agree, I dont want the dirty thankless job of bein  a mod, but there are some eager-beaver crazy-ass power hungry people out there who would just die for the chance.....

You got better ideas for prizes? Just post em.

I dont suggest the contest will ever come to pass, or that prizes will be as I suggested. All that is up to the powers that be.  BUT, it is fun to contemplate.

Eh, think on it (and I mean THINK. do not reply to these questions, do not post to these questions) Just think, dont type it.

What is your most favourite and secret tactical/stratigic thing to do? What aids you best? What is your very favourite tip, and how did you learn it? Is there a story behind it, you are just dying to share? What would it mean if you shared it with the whole galaxy? (to you, and to the others, and to the game as a whole?)

I think such a contest would provide the mods with a much longer list of tips to rotate, and ease repetition and boredom. I think the contest is a very good idea, and not just cause its mine.

Remember to cast the spell "No Fear" if you have it before attacking a portalled planet, it can be crucial for your attack to be successful.

Learned that the hard way my first round as attacker ;p Sending a fleet 4 ticks to break a very dangerous portal and failing due to forgetting no fear isn't fun at all >: (

Here's a tip that's not so secret. But, I sometimes need reminded of it:

Always have Space Amazement in effect before you launch your e-ships. It means great savings in the costs of sending em out.

Here's another about explo:

You must have your planets 50% buildt to send an e-ship. But that is an average for all your planets. If you have one at 100% and one at 0%, you can still send em.

Eh, to play of f  Keerbtje's tip:

Remember, if you expect to be attacked soon, to have No fear casted. The extra 10% defense may well save you some planets.
