This game is not based on emotion, will or anythin non-comprehensible, its based on basic math versus the time factor. The merger round is supposed to be merging the two last "hard-to-play" galaxies in the game. Yet the specs put forth for this round, make it an extremely easy round.
You can literally keep on exploring until EoR. I guarantee this. In fact. Look at Andromeda as it is right now. It ends in a couple of days, and there are several systems still, unexplored...tons of planets available. And thats with Andro's specs....waaaaaay lower pcount.
The merger round is in addition to its overwhelming amount of planets...made short. It will last 2 months. So basicly, what they have done is create a huuuuuge map, and give us less time to explore it. Both ingame and offgame morale will be killed, and I am left wondering if they are trying to kill the game alltogether, by ruining the game for the few remaining hardcore IC players."

Hey, a car with no engine works great on the downhills (like a soapbox racer, lol) But, I admit, on the uphills you must get out and push. And the cresting the hill for another ride depends on your determination, and willingness to work at it. Eh, the cliff thingy: depends on the hieght of the cliff, and the reasons for it. Do you jump out a window with hope? Or stay in a burning building?
And, yes this game is based on emotion. The interactions between players is not math based. Nor time based. Love, hate, revenge, friendship, loyalty, and so forth are not math/time based. I can hate a player this round, and be his friend the next. I can wait ten ticks or ten rounds for revenge. An, so on.
Your objections, not the game, are based on math/time factors. An, I see your objections, and understnd why you object. But that does not remove the thrill of accepting a challenge, or of the shear joy of playing the game.
Tweaking the game to meet your expectations, does not make it a better game, or you a better player. Taking what ever you are handed, and making the best of it does.
andro not being completely explored, is not a new thing.....
it is a war like galaxy, and like orion, it is useless to explore unless you can defend, so that isn't a denominator to the game, and per usual a lot of people delete close to the end of round if they aren't doing well, which i don't agree with but that is their right to do so.
so you see, this, doesn't mean it wasn't a good round.
and trust me the mix of andro and MW was a good thing, now the MW crowd will get a taste of raw war and honor, which i hope will get rid of a lot of cheating losers and promote the honorable warriors in the game.
This game is done for and there doesnt seem to be anything u guys can do about it.
How many yrs did i keep repeating myself on these that needed to be changed? took something like 3-4 yrs and a few thousand less players to do some changes. Granted the newer mods are better then the pathetic ones we had before, but then u guys get this crap of a gal that is so big it wont evan be explored by rounds end and moron nolio sais its a test round? after 8 yrs your doing a friggen test round???? Any mods that supported or brought that up are total retards.
If there is gonna be around 500 players then have around 45 fams ( im assuming your doing 12 player fams?), dont make too many where u got 10+ fams with 3 players and so on. I would of thought after 8 yrs u could figure this one out. Dont make a gal that is so big exploring last the whole round.
1 thing i use to always love was the 9 sector gal, kinda hard to do atm with so few players, but remember the idea i tried to bring on the lower p count per system? u can do 1 of 2 ways, either have a set number at 12 or do it random between 5-20. Changes some strats a bit, but with ic u would need 4 more yrs for this idea:).
If u want a test round why dont u make naps illegal and actually enforce the shit.
In a perfect ic world i would love to see 16 player fams with 3 fam alliances, 12 sectors, 4k players and over 250 fams. Of course the way stefan and yes the mods have killed this game I dont think that will ever happen.
With having 1 main gal, why not change pw up evan more differant? Make it 4 week rounds with 30 min ticks or if that would be too hard for stefan to change then have every tick in pw count as 2. Anything differant just so u dont sit there with multiple gals being almost the same setup. This was always a no brainer to me, yet the mods always kept every gal the same.
Considering ic's history is only around 8 yrs, I would of thought u would learn from the mistakes. Big gals were a disaster a few yrs back and yet you wanted to do a test round with them again?:)
If u still do the result will be huge booming, massive naps, non stop raping of small fams, fast deleting in the small fams, big time bordem by majority of the players in some of the big fams cause of little action, huge morale problems, tired of building on 600-1300 planets and massive raping in any big war with deleting soon after by the losers. Everytime u have big gals u end up with the top fam having 2 main wars 1 against a much lesser fam thats still top 10 and they lose 600-900 planets and end up deleting and the other will be at eor which usually results in arguing,nap breaking, behind the scenes cheating and total disrespect for each other and yet more deleting and many players not comming back.
Also the Andro of today and Mw of today are all mixed players that been in both gals, so there wont be any huge differances. There was maybe 2-3 differant types of playing styles in Andro over the yrs that were differant from Mw till recently. Old andro was no attack in e phase and alot of Honor. Next round of old Andro after mergers was basically all out cheating and bascially just wild country and the next andro was very few naps if any and total war. Andro was typically known to be a small gal majority of its life time and some of my most fun rounds were in gals with less planets. 1 of m00lars last great rounds we had 8 bankers and 5 of them didnt have 100 planets and only 2 pop bankers and the top cf/to banker had 120-130 planets and our main attackers had around 80 planets( all spread) with 20+ morale planets and i recall alot of the small to medium fams refusing to nap us evan when we beat them to a pulp, they kept nabbing at our bankers here and there at any cost as the distance wasnt too bad.
Smaller gals also end up with closer wars. You dont have the massive savings and there for if u lose a fig fight or make a mistake with your droids the war isent lost as he might only have 300k or 3m figs depending what part of the round it is. With big gals u end up fighting against 1m-15m figs and 2-70m droids. How u gonna come back against 50m droids remaining on the enemy and u just lost 80% of yours and its only 2 mins into the war? As i recall wars are suppose to last longer then a few mins. Use to be common to do 3-4 day wars on average and with great top fams u sometimes ended up with 7-14 day wars.
Of course I was always an aggressive player, so I liked action, maybe thats where ic fails in the lack of action?
wow...reminds me of the 2003 IC...i was on andro where expo phase has no attacks...hehehehe...
