Topic: 2008 USA Election

alright no arguments, no discussions other than saying who you think will win,

you dont have to provide reasoning for it, don't make fun of the other candidate tongue

just name who you think is guna win!

---
I think Obama will come on top *shocker*
my judgement is probably biased, since i want him to win, but if you look at the current situation, Obama's doing great, i think he can keep this up till fall, he has learned from his mistakes, and the campaign is extremely well organized, so no mess ups, not anymore, that's a great thing for him and it should help him a lot, however mccain's campaign looks a little shaky, it's a great one, but now his health is also being taken into consideration again, hopefully that check up was nothing more than a regular check up like he said, and nothing serious...but his age and health does play a big factor. All in all, obama is looking better right now, the polls i wouldn't say are really reliable, even though a lot of them are in obama's favour, there always switching around, but by fall Obama should be able to pull of a win, it'll offcourse be tough though..

Re: 2008 USA Election

McCain

Obama has no real serious policy's, is getting kissed by the media, but will get hacked by ads showing where he should have been asked TOUGH questions but instead was never asked by his darling fawning media. When the serious debates happen McCain will show stances, but Obama will tout his "Change is good" and "Hope is better" campaign slogans, never even once giving his stance.

When they compare which one is by far more bi-partisan they will see McCains name lit up.

When they compare which one has made more correct calls on what will happen, they will see McCain...

When they compare costs of the governments each invisions... McCain will wtfpwn Obama

Finally there is the last aspect... Obama is counting on the youth to carry him through, he also is counting on Clintons followers 'to come to the fold' which won't neccessarily happen on either count. In fact I am betting both groups go and sit home mostly, concerned more with getting a bj or polishing their nails. Gl with those two voter groups, without them it's a guaranteed loss, with half of them it's a most likely loss, and getting all of them is something I doubt any politician can do.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.
Steve Jobs has ruined this joke.

Re: 2008 USA Election

the biggest problem is that we have a bunch of racist rednecks in this country that are already organising to take him out should it (in they're eyes) be necessary.
truth be told no one in the history of the world have had a larger group of people organized to kill them should he become president, although i don't agree with rep or dem's on just about everything, i am sad that in this day and age that so many ignorant people have pulled themselves together for just one thing "HATR" it disgust me.
when in fact he is no worse than any president we have had for the last 20 years.
bush being the worst we have ever had in history.
intresting  fact:
George Bush: fifth cousin four times removed of Franklin Pierce, seventh cousin three times removed of Theodore Roosevelt, seventh cousin four times removed of Abraham Lincoln, eleventh cousin once removed of Gerald Ford
George W. Bush: son of George Bush.
His good looks and inoffensive personality caused him to make many friends, but he suffered tragedy in his personal life and as president subsequently made decisions which were widely criticized and divisive in their effects, thus giving him the reputation as one of the worst presidents in U.S. history. Pierce's popularity in the North declined sharply after he came out in favor of the Kansas-Nebraska Act, repealing the Missouri Compromise and reopening the question of the expansion of slavery in the West. Pierce's credibility was further damaged when several of his diplomats issued the Ostend Manifesto. Historian David Potter concludes that the Ostend Manifesto and the Kansas-Nebraska Act were "the two great calamities of the Franklin Pierce administration.... Both brought down an avalanche of public criticism." More important says Potter, they permanently discredited Manifest Destiny and popular sovereignty.
so the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and ombma is related to "dubba" as well.

Re: 2008 USA Election

well with 2.5 million inbread rednecks wanting to kill him, i doubt he will even get the chance to announce his conversion before he's burried in arlington.

Re: 2008 USA Election

Hard to predict
I guess McCain is not conservative enough for conservatives and too rude and  hawkish to attract democrats.
Obama is a windbag ,attractive to impressionable teenagers only  but not adults. And he is black.

So i say Diebold will win.

Re: 2008 USA Election

Re: 2008 USA Election

i'll vote for you.... i hate all of the other candidates, so i'd rather vote for someone i don't even know, than vote for someone that disgust me.
i wished the American people would realise that voting for the lessor of two evil's(if you can even call it that) is what keeps us in this present state of organised slavery.

Re: 2008 USA Election

I used to have "The lesser of two evils" as a forum name!  big_smile

Re: 2008 USA Election

well the fact that the assaination threats are only because he's black, now i would have voted for Colin Powell, or MLK in a heart beat.

Re: 2008 USA Election

if Hilary becomes barak's running mate its going to be a race between her greed and bigot's hate for who is going to kill Obama first.

Re: 2008 USA Election

hillary would be by far the worst choice for obama, it mighta seemed a good idea a bit before but not anymore

einstien, the wide coverage of Obama's trip could've easily destroyed his campaign if he were to make a big mistake, but he didn't, he looked presedential, met with key people, came out respected by many and made lots of new friends.

other than that, how many of you are actually concerned of McCain's health?? IMHO, and i say this from a neutral stance, that i hope mccain's doing well and he stays healthy, but really we have to be concerned, and like someone else mentioned McCain's really gotta think hard about his VP choice, and that person's gotta be someone who's gunna be ready to take the job as president any day he has to.

Re: 2008 USA Election

McCain's health?  Last I heard he's quite healthy.  I work in a hospital as a patient transporter and I can tell you that although McCain is in his 70s, he is far healthier than most 70-year-old men.  Besides, I think it is foolish for people to think that 70 is too old.  Back in the 1780s, the lifespan would've been no more than 60-70 years (if you were lucky) and the Constitution states that you had to be of 35 years of age to be President.  By the time you were 35, you were already considered old.

Re: 2008 USA Election

i will vote for someone that is a third party and personally I don't like either of the choices. The same idea's just different faces boring.

Predict, McCain will take most of brain washed farm boys and will win with majority. But obama will dominate most of regions that have more liberals in them. McCain is a whackjob big_smile totally so lets hope we don't have someone that was tortured and have them decide the fate of the country tongue (Don't trust his mental stability)

Re: 2008 USA Election

McCain's health? the guy has Sarcoma period hes dying and will die, just because hes got money he can "appear" healthy, but i honestly doubt he's what he presenting himself to be myself being a student nurse smile

And as riotingvirus said, McCain is a whackjob =/

Re: 2008 USA Election

"Appearing healthy" would be Kerry on Botox.

I don't know about you, but if McCain is ambulatory, he's healthy to me.  You're statement about Sarcoma equaling to unhealthiness is like me saying if you have any type of illness, be it cancer, common cold, chicken pox, smallpox, HIV, polio (hint, hint), liver disease, sickle cell anemia, etc., you should not be considered president because you're unhealthy and may die soon.

...right.  Let's vote for God as President.

Re: 2008 USA Election

"Let's vote for God as President."

Certainly wouldn't be the worst President you've ever had, I mean how much can someone who's never seen and never says a word screw up.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

Re: 2008 USA Election

supall i bring up his health as, just recently he out of no where, had a pigment of his skin taken off, for a check up. Now he's saying it's a regular check up, and i believe him, but the thing is, he is a 72 y/o survivor of melanoma, an aggressive cancer that often recurs, and if i'm not wrong he's had surgery for it around 3 times now.

Supall also the average life expectancy is around 77 in america, that number drops about 1-3 points if you're a male, it's higher for female as there is more research, institutions, government fundings, and drugs for a predominantly female disease like Breast cancer, and not much is done for an all male disease such as prostate cancer.

Re: 2008 USA Election

The average life span is now 87 for females and 84 for males in the US. So please Gladiator quit cutting 10 years off for political reasons!

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
