Topic: Name one time Obama...

Name one time Obama reached across the table and supported a bi-partisan bill, or co-authored a bi-partisan deal, or *gasp* voted for a Republican backed bill!

Then if you cannot you must forever henceforth say "Obama is not bi-partisan, he is entirely one sided on his views"

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Now not saying I know the answer, but what happens when we level this air rifle at McCain?  Has McCain ever supported a bi-partisan bill, co-authored, etc.  Chances are probably pretty good that at one point or another in their careers both have supported a bi-partisan bill, but maybe I'm wrong.  It also seems odd this is coming from a Republican supporter.  Not to cast any stones but I've noticed a trend on the forums, whenever someone suggested that the Republicans meet the Democrats half way on an issue Republican supporters go up in arms.  So it seems odd that you demand a Democrat show evidence of being open to bipartisanship but if anyone demands it of a Republican you attack the idea with crusader-like zeal.

I'm pretty sure there's a word for that now what could it be?  Pretty sure it starts with an "h".

Re: Name one time Obama...

I was at a comedy show last week and the comedian asked this guy if he was a registered voter. The guy said yes. The comedian said "Well if you don't vote for obama then ****  You!"

this doesn't really have much to do with the topic but it did remind me of it and it was pretty hilarious at the time =p

Two reasons why it's not hypocritical:
1: If the Democratic candidate is a bipartisan type of guy, it means a Republican could get his/her agenda through.  If a Republican is bipartisan, it means a Republican will have to negotiate.  It's not a check at the value of bipartisanship, but a check on whether power will be solidified or shared with those of a particular ideology.
2: Obama has made bipartisanship a primary campaign issue.  Therefore, it's legitimate to call that against him.

Re: Name one time Obama...

well its my understanding that McCain is more Liberal than he acts in the election, almost like a moderate than a Republican.

There have been many comparisons between Obama and McCain such as: Do you want to elect an Ultra Liberal (Obama) or a Liberal (McCain)?

I dont know who I will vote for yet, but its quite clear to me that Obama is not bi-partisan while McCain is.  And that's why I will probably vote for McCain, unless Bob Barr can win my vote.  If there is any proof to my statements above, post it.

Re: Name one time Obama...

Considering McCain's time in office, he's bound to have alot more examples of cooperation than Obama.

Considering the general war atmosphere involving the right and left quadrants in the USA while Obama has been in office, it's expected a democrat senator wouldn't have ageed on much with republicans, especially a senator who was poised to make a run for the White House.

Consider guys, consider.

Re: Name one time Obama...

LOL you mean 1 full Senate term gives you broader experience than Obama could be expected to have?? lol

The solution to end these sort of threads is extremely simple I can't believe it's never been thought of before: Just eliminate the entire executive branch!

Re: Name one time Obama...

Patriot act is the strongest they can come up with, a response to a terrorist attack upon the United States. In which all Senators who did not vote it were over-scrutinized under the media, voters, and their peers. Of course he voted for it.

So I guess no one here can even try to say anything?

Re: Name one time Obama...

well it won't matter much, from what i know (and i pay attention to a lot of things) if he wins he will be the president with the largest group in history wanting to kill him (2.5mill to be exact) it is sad but unfortunate that we have such a large amount of inbred rednecks in the US, and they will not accept a black president.
i don't agree with obama but i don't think that the minority should be able (for ignorant reasons like race) should be able to decide that they have the right to change politics.... like radical muslims, we have stupid rednecks... (but not all rednecks are racist, just like not all muslims are terrorist)

Re: Name one time Obama...

skoe, tell me what you know about code pink that makes them alright.

i know they parade coffins in protests at veteran hospitals. that's beyond sick. corner? don't stick your brown nose in where it don't belong.

Re: Name one time Obama...

I never saw those pinkies getting beat by the Veterans, the Pinkies just started punching each other when one person said they ate meat one time ten years ago. Rather tragic that several of them suffered such severe injuries. The veterans were pushing a car with their knuckles which of course led to those knuckles being bruised.

Yes I think the pinkies should be cited for disorderly conduct at the very least, it was quite a mess!

So you admit that yes, he did support a Bi-partisan bill?  The question you put forth was not about circumstances nor excuses.  It was simply, has he supported a bi-partisan bill.

You post your question looking for one answer, and will never be satisfied with people giving legitimate answers to it.  If that isn't biased and one sided then I don't know what is.

You must be upset because these people that do come up with an answer don't have to follow your dumb rule of: Then if you cannot you must forever henceforth say "Obama is not bi-partisan, he is entirely one sided on his views"
